We know this is just one of many profiles you have had to or will have to sort through and we thank you for taking the time to consider us. We understand what a difficult decision this is for you and admire your strength for doing the best thing you can for your child no matter what. Please know that if you choose us to bring up your child, we will do everything and anything to give them a great childhood and a good foundation to take with them on their journey through life. We are just waiting for the opportunity to give a child a loving, fun-filled home!

Our names are Anthony and Shannon. We have been married for a little over ten years now. We married when we were young and waited to try for children until we had been married for about 5 years. Unfortunately, after years of trying to conceive, we realized that God may not have intended for us to have a baby, but rather for a baby to have us. That moment felt like a light bulb going on and the fog we had been in for the previous years went away when we came to understand that adoption was the path we were meant to follow, so we stopped all fertility treatments and began our search. Nothing has ever felt this right. We truly believe this is the way we were meant to expand our family.

Anthony works in law enforcement and has a pretty flexible schedule. Most times he can change his schedule around to meet any needs that may arise. Shannon works at a local hospital and has a very flexible schedule. She creates her own schedule from month to month because she is a per diem employee. Typical she chooses to work two days a week. Both schedules can be worked around one another so that child care outside of our home will be very minimal, if any, and we have wonderful family and friends nearby that have graciously offered to assist with child care if needed.

We spend a lot of time together doing everything from everyday chores to big family vacations and anything in between. We live in a great neighborhood with many family-oriented events throughout the year like cardboard box boat races, fishing contests, drive-in movie night, Halloween hayrides and so much more. There is never a lack of things to do in our area. We live just as close to the beach as we do to the farms. The surrounding big cities offer a whole world of educational, cultural and entertainment options and are only about 30 to 60 minutes away. Of course we have just as much fun hanging out at home with friends and family in the backyard or playing in the pool with our nieces and nephews. We are really happy with our lives. We have wonderful family and friends, we both have strong moral and ethical backgrounds and so much love for one another that we can't wait to be able to share that love!!

We know that the decision you are making is probably the most difficult one you've ever faced. We have family that have both adopted a child and placed a child for adoption, so we've seen first hand both the joy and hardship of making this kind of decision and appreciate the courage and strength that it takes. We know you want nothing but the best for your child and that's exactly what we want too. What we offer is unconditional love, safety, a fun-filled, stable home and two people who are willing to do whatever it takes to help your child achieve their dreams. Your child will know from very early on about his/her adoption. We plan to be very open about it and have even purchased children's books on the subject so we can introduce the term "adoption" at an early age. Your child will also know of the incredible sacrifice you made on their behalf. We are willing to send pictures and letters so that you can see the progress your child is making and rest assured that, if adoption is the path you choose, that you made the right choice.
