You must be overwhelmed with the decision you are facing and the many choices of wonderful adoptive parents out there all of whom are waiting to welcome your child into their home with open arms. We are one of those families and we want to share with you a little bit about ourselves in an effort to help you make the best decision you can for your child.

First, we want to say thank you. Thank you for choosing to bring your child into this world. Thank you for considering American Adoptions as the agency you may work with. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made and may make in the future. Thank you for choosing to take a look at our profile and consider us as the perfect match for your child.

We are Jeff and Ginger. We met in our mid-thirties when both of us were well-established in our careers as lawyers. A mutual friend had been trying to introduce us for several years, but it never came about. Finally, in 1999, we met on a work-related matter and we truly knew that we were meant for each other from the moment we met. We were married the next year and our son, Jack, was born in late 2001. After careful consideration, Ginger chose to put her law career on hold indefinitely and stay at home to raise Jack. It has been the most rewarding "job" of her life and she happily traded her law books for Dr. Seuss stories.

As we approached Jack's first birthday, Ginger was overjoyed to learn that she was pregnant again. Unfortunately, she lost the pregnancy just days before Jack's birthday and endured multiple unsuccessful pregnancies over the following four years. Despite these losses, we never wavered from our hope and desire to expand our family and provide Jack with a sibling. This hope now leads us down the exciting road to adoption.

We understand that you may be worried that we may not love your baby as much as we love Jack. We can assure you that, no matter how our children arrive in our family, they will receive equal treatment, love and attention. We will work very hard to make sure that your child knows that he or she is just as much a part of our family and that we cherish him or her as much as we cherish Jack. In some ways, your child will be even more loved because not only will he or she have our unconditional love, but yours as well.

We enjoy a wide variety of activities and try to make the most of our free time. As a family, we love traveling, and especially snow skiing. We also like spending time with our friends and family, whether it's a trip to the local water park or a last minute barbeque. One of our favorite Friday night activities is to rent a movie, grab a bowl of popcorn, and watch movies.

Jeff particularly loves sports. He frequently plays golf with friends, racquetball with his colleagues and basketball with the neighbors. As a member of the football and baseball teams throughout high school and college, Jeff's dream has always been to someday coach his child's team. This spring, that dream is coming true as Jeff will be coaching Jack's T-ball team.

Ginger is a very high-energy person and likes to be involved in a number of activities. She volunteers at Jack's school, plays tennis several times a week and works out on a regular basis. She also enjoys decorating and is often asked to give friends and family decorating advice. When she gets some time alone, she reads, gardens, works on crossword puzzles or scrapbooks. She also plays the piano and is taking up an interest in photography with the help of her neighbor.

We are ready to offer your child a loving home filled with endless opportunities and a terrific big brother with whom your child can grow up and share their life experiences. We will work hard to raise your child as a kind, compassionate, caring, well-rounded and happy person. We will try to instill in your child a sense of curiosity and a love of learning. We believe in encouraging children to pursue whatever interests they enjoy and believe that a good education and spiritual foundation is fundamental to opening doors for growth and understanding. We are thrilled about the possibility of sharing our world with your child.

We know that this cannot be an easy decision for you. We hope that through this letter, our pictures and our profile, you are able to get a glimpse into our lives and family so that you can make the most informed and loving decision for your child. More importantly, if you choose us as your child's adoptive family, we hope to offer you continued peace of mind in your choice by providing you with pictures and letters of your child over the years if you so wish. We promise you that there will never be a shortage of love and respect in our home for your child. We promise that your child will grow up knowing the love you had for him or her, the difficult decisions with which you were faced, and the sacrifices you made.
