Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Tony & Nancy

We are very honored to have the opportunity to send you this letter and let you know a little bit about us. We can only imagine what you are experiencing right now. Your courage and openness to adoption shows how much you love your child. Loving a child means many things and making difficult decisions on behalf of a child is what love is all about.

Our names are Nancy and Tony. We have been married for 7 years, but were friends first. We met many years ago in college and fell in love when we "met again" over 9 years ago. We have a strong marriage based on love, friendship, common interests and goals. We have a wonderful 4-year-old son right now, but we are unable to have more children. The many disappointments we faced while trying to grow our family have made us stronger and more committed to loving and raising another child. We are anxious to grow our family and feel that adoption is a gift from you and from God.

We have strong family values and hope to raise a secure, confident and well-loved child. Not only will your child feel loved by our actions, but also because we say "I love you" very freely in our home. We will say it every day, so that there is no question. We will also share with your child the miraculous way in which they joined our family. Your decision will be described as one of love and courage. And we feel that in loving your child, we naturally will love and respect you. We'd be happy to send photos and letters, if you desire them.

We hope knowing that the baby will have a big brother gives comfort to you. (Our son has been asking for a little brother or sister!) It gives us comfort to know that our son will also have a sibling to grow up with and share memories and good times. We both have strong loving relationships with our siblings and we know the benefit of brotherly and sisterly love.

We both have master degrees and will make education a top priority, but not at the expense of being well rounded and having fun. The same goes for sports or other extra curricular activities. Strive to be the best, but have fun along the way. Both of us look forward to introducing your child to our annual events, including apple picking, St. Patrick Day parties and parades, vacations, West Point Football games, and egg hunts, to name a few. And Nancy, being a stay-at-home-mom, can't wait to return to the baby music classes, story time at our local library, playgroups, park outings and much more.

We have not taken this adoption decision and journey lightly. We know that you have not either. We are all committed to doing all we can to make sure the baby's life is the best that it can be. If you choose us, please know that we will love and care for your baby as our own. We will always be there for the child, in good times and bad. We hope you choose us, but more importantly, we hope that you find the right match for your baby.

With all our hearts,

Tony & Nancy
