Dear Birth Parent(s),

If you choose to give us the gift of parenthood, we will be forever grateful and promise to teach your child from a young age to respect and love you for your brave and selfless decision. We know you might be struggling to decide what to do right now, but if you choose us to be parents to your baby, you can be assured your child will grow up to understand that adoption is an honorable choice (we know this is true because Nicole's brother was adopted). We promise to provide a stable, secure, and loving home for your child. We are so excited to be parents, we already have a nursery set up in our home for a boy or a girl!

If you want an open adoption, we would love to meet with you before and after the birth, but we want this to be your decision. If you would like, we can stay in touch after the adoption and you can visit your child and rest assured that he or she is safe and happy and that you made the right decision. We will respect whatever kind of contact you desire, even if you only want pictures and letters. The option will always be there for you.

We can provide a safe and stable environment for your child to grow and thrive in. We have been together for ten years and have a very strong relationship with good communication and mutual respect. Time together as a family is very important to us. We both like to cook and we always sit down together for breakfast and dinner. We can't wait to share our meals with your child.

Learning, creativity, and a healthy, active lifestyle are also important to us. We love to spend time together in nature, hiking, gardening, or just being at home reading, painting or playing guitar. We look forward to sharing these moments with your child and passing on these values in providing a happy and healthy home, and a great education. We will provide opportunities and encouragement for your child to pursue and develop his or her unique talents and interests. We also believe that spirituality is an important part of being a happy and healthy person.

Nicole enjoys her work in health care because it is very rewarding, but we also know the importance of balancing work with family life. Matt works very close to home and does not work long hours. When we have a child, Nicole will reduce her hours to part-time. We are fortunate that her work schedule is very flexible. Matt is excited to be a very involved father and will help take care of the child while Nicole is working. Matt's mother and father who live nearby will also help with childcare. Your child will always be surrounded by lots of loving family members.

We know this may be a difficult decision for you. We believe adoption is the best way for us to start a family and hope that you can find peace in your heart to choose adoption too. Despite the difficulties that may have brought us all here, we believe that when our paths cross, if you choose us, that everything happened for a reason. In our home your child will grow up to love you (and know you if you wish) as we will be forever grateful to you for giving us the gift of parenthood.
