Dear Birth Parent(s),

We would like to begin by thanking you for reading our letter and considering us. We know this is a very difficult decision you are facing and we cannot begin to imagine how you are feeling. We know there must be uncertainty and fear but also hope and love for your child. If you decide to go forward with adoption, your courage and unselfishness will give a beautiful gift to a family that may not have children otherwise.

Our names are Glenn and Eileen and we would like to help you get to know us. We both grew up in New Jersey and we both come from large families: Glenn is one of four and Eileen is one of seven. We have been together for ten years and are excited and anxious to start our own family. We have a wonderful, loving relationship and we believe our strong commitment is based on our honesty, communication and openness.

We both come from strong family backgrounds and still spend time with our parents, siblings, and their children frequently. We both have parents that took an active role in our upbringing. They gave us the support and guidance to follow our dreams and develop self-confidence and strength. Both our parents have been great role models and raised us with the strong moral values and beliefs that we know will make us great parents. Most of all, we grew up feeling loved. Our families are thrilled at the idea of welcoming a new grandchild/cousin into the family.

We both enjoy being outside, whether it be just relaxing in the yard with friends or a bike ride and a picnic in the park. We both exercise regularly and realize the importance of health. We grew up active in sports and remember weekends swimming or playing ball in the backyard. We can't wait to share our love for each other with your child and become a family. We love going on vacation and we usually go on two major trips each year. We also try to fit in a few weekend getaways. Over the past ten years, we've been to Paris, London, Bermuda, Cancun, Las Vegas and several Caribbean Cruises, not to mention lots of trips to the beach. Of all the places we have seen, Disney World is probably our favorite vacation spot. There is just so much to see and do and no matter how often we go, we never get tired of it. The only thing we know that will make the trip more special is being able to share the "magic" of Disney with our children. We also look forward to holidays together. We especially like Christmas and Halloween. Glenn dresses in his Santa suit for our nieces and nephews and the neighborhood children. Glenn is a kid at heart and cannot wait to be a stay-at-home Dad. We look forward to bedtime stories and lots of hugs and kisses.

We promise to raise your child in a loving, supportive environment that encourages self-expression. We were raised Catholic and attend church regularly. We believe religion is an important part of building healthy family ideals. Education is extremely important to us and we will give your child the best education possible. We will be honest and open with your child about their adoption. Your child will always know how much you love them and how difficult and painful your decision was. We will send pictures and letters so you will know how happy and healthy your child is.

We have so much love to give and share and hope that you will consider us as parents for your child. We have always wanted to have children and are anxious to fulfill this dream through adoption.
