Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. Our names are Jeff and Diane. We have been married 12 years and have no children. After numerous fertility treatments that have not worked, we still hope to become parents. We are very excited about adopting a baby and giving him/her a life full of happiness, love, and encouragement. We truly admire your courage to consider adoption for your child. We can only imagine how difficult this decision has been for you. Be assured that your child will always know their adoption story, the tremendous amount of love you have for them, and what a sacrifice you made in entrusting them to us. We will be happy to send pictures and letters for as long as you wish so you can see your baby growing in our happy home. We plan to spend our lives sharing unconditional love for your baby and will always put your baby's needs above our own.
We can't wait to experience the joys of raising a child, like kissing boo-boos, building sandcastles and snowmen, attending school plays, and enjoying family time together. Strong family bonds are important to us. We believe it is beneficial in raising happy, healthy children. We want to share family traditions and start new ones.
We are financially secure, own our home, take annual vacations, and live an exciting life. Education is important to both of us. Your child will attend the best schools in our area. We will support your child in all endeavors, and provide a life filled with endless opportunities. We will always encourage him/her to reach for the stars and enjoy life to the fullest.
We live in a fun loving town along a large river. The ocean is 5 minutes away and we can smell the salt air from our wrap-around porch. We live 2 short blocks from a brand new park. It has new swings, a jungle gym, and is always full of children. Our neighbors have children of all ages.
Every weekend Diane loves to make a big breakfast before the day's events. In the summer, we love to barbeque, swim in our pool, and roast marshmallows around a campfire. We love walking on the beach and smelling the salt air. For fun we go kayaking, fishing, bike riding, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. We visit museums, historical sites, theatre, and dine on different ethnic foods. Vacation is spent exploring national parks like the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, seeing glaciers in Alaska, and photographing wildlife.
Our families are bursting with excitement about our plan to adopt a baby. Your child will have many aunts, uncles and cousins who will adore and care for him/her. Your child will get to see them all quite often. Diane will stay home the first three months with the baby, and then Jeff will be Mr. Mom for three months. After Diane's mom babysits for three months, the child will attend a new childcare center one block from Diane's work.
We celebrate the holidays and decorate the house for every occasion. We look forward to the look on your baby's face when he/she sees all the Christmas decorations. Easter is spent at Diane's parent's house. We look forward to future Easter egg hunts in our yard. Hopefully our two loving cats don't find the eggs first, or they will bat them around like their favorite toys. They may even find the goodies that we'll hide inside them. Our affectionate cats will love to have another set of hands pet them too. We host the Memorial Day barbeque and Thanksgiving dinner with both our families together. Jeff is a fantastic cook and everyone looks forward to his delicious creations. We celebrate Christmas Eve at Diane's brother's house. We enjoy a big feast before everyone sits on Santa's lap asking him for that special gift. Christmas day is spent visiting Jeff's family. While we eat very healthy and take care of ourselves, every holiday ends with lots of homemade desserts. Jeff's mom, Diane's sister-in-law, and niece love to bake. Jeff especially loves the extra package of treats he takes home.
Thank you for reading our letter and getting to know us. We will be honored and grateful if you choose us as the family to raise your child. Please let us know of any special wishes you may have for your child and we will do our best to fulfill those dreams.
