Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Pete & Wendy

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. As we begin this journey of adoption again we have so many mixed emotions. One is the excitement of knowing that we may have another child to love. The other is sadness that our happiness is at your expense. So, we hope through this profile you will get a sense of who we are and how much we will love and care for your child. We hope that this will ease some of what you are feeling.

Our names are Pete and Wendy, and we have been together for 10 years and married for 7 years. Many people tell us that we still act like we're on our honeymoon. To us, everyday we have together is a blessing and we truly enjoy each other's company. It's been important for us to remain committed and loving to each other in a world that is sometimes confusing and very busy. We were blessed in 2005 to adopt our son, Jake. He recently turned two and he cannot wait to be a big brother. We are both from large families and our hope is for Jake to grow up with a sibling. He's always curious when we're around other babies and wants to hug and kiss them. Adding another child will only bring more love into our home. Your child will be raised in a home full of love, support, and a positive environment.

Wendy is a stay at home mom. We made a decision when we had a child that one of us would stay home. This decision has allowed us to spend quality time together as a family. Wendy is involved in a local Mommy and Me group were she is the Co- President for this coming year. This group gives support to the moms, when needed. And for the kids there are playgroups, craft days and outings. We are not sure who has more fun the moms or kids. Wendy also enjoys spending time with friends and family. With such a large family there are plenty of kids to play with. Her sisters have become the friends that you can only dream about and she also has friendships with women other than her sisters that have lasted more than twenty years. She has been truly blessed by the women in her life.

Pete is a director at a national corporation. His company believes in flexible work arrangements, which encourages employees to work from home. Pete has dreamed of being a father. He takes being a Dad very seriously with lots of hugs, kisses and tickling. Pete's a hand's on Dad, who has no problem with changing diapers and late night feedings. Pete is responsible in our family for the night time bath and bed time. Pete also enjoys Daddy alone time by going to swimming lessons and The Little Gym.

Our family and friends are very excited about our decision to adopt and have a new baby in our home. Your child will be surrounded by people who will love and support them. Our families are loving, kind and caring people with strong family traditions and values. Our parents welcome the opportunity to be grandparents again; they cannot wait to spoil another baby.

We enjoy staying in touch with Jake's birth mother and always pick out our favorite pictures to send her. Along with the pictures we write a letter about Jake's progress. We not only include doctor visits but what he likes and dislikes, what activity he is involved in and any funny story that just makes us laugh. We keep copies of each letter so we can share this experience with him someday when he has questions. We would be more then happy to meet you and to share pictures and letters with you for many years to come also if this is what you desire.

We can't begin to image what this time in your life is like. However, we can tell you that you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. As you make this decision we know what a sacrifice you will be making. Please know that we will raise your child in a home that is full of love and happiness.

Thoughtfully,

Pete & Wendy
