Dear Birth Parent(s),

We are Andy and Elizabeth and we want to thank you for this chance to introduce ourselves to you. Where do we start? First of all, we want to express our admiration for you and the courage and love that brought you to the choice of adoption for your child. We cannot possibly imagine how incredibly difficult this decision must be and we feel that it is truly an act of selflessness and generosity.

As we look back on the journey that has brought us to this point, we can't help but marvel at how far we have come, everything that we have been through and the great blessings we have received along the way. We are blessed with each other, loving families and fantastic friends, but we long for a child in our family. Though we are unable to have biological children, we believe that God is leading us to open our hearts and home to a child through adoption and we are very excited about the future.

Our hope is to be able to offer a child a warm, loving and nurturing home filled with laughter, hugs and dreams come true. We dream of raising a child who we'll love and teach through example, reading bedtime stories, outings to the park or the zoo, trips to the ballgame, schoolwork, playtime and family time. We would love to open our hearts and our home to your child, to love and to cherish, to nurture and to encourage along life's journey. We have worked and planned for a long time to be able to provide as many opportunities as possible to your child - two parents with a strong and stable marriage, a stay-at-home mom, a neighborhood filled with children, excellent educational opportunities as well as our undying devotion.

Our families share strong bonds and traditions and they are anxious to welcome a new addition and shower him/her with love. They have all been very supportive of us and are so excited for us to become parents, especially since they know this is something we both desire so much. Grandma Norma (Andy's mom) lives just a few minutes away and is anxious for a first grandchild. Nudgy and Papa (Elizabeth's folks) are already experienced grandparents and just can't wait for another grandchild. They have instilled in us strong values and traditions that we long to pass down. Our family has welcomed its newest members who have joined us through adoption, so we understand that although there are different circumstances around how they came into our family, there is no difference at all in how much they are loved and cherished.

We want you to know that your child will know how he/she came into our family - through the painful, loving and courageous decision you are now faced with. We greatly admire you and would share letters and photos, if you desire, so that you will have the chance to see your child grow and be reassured of your decision.

It is our deepest desire to have a child in our lives and we would be forever grateful to you if you chose us. We would consider the opportunity to nurture and provide for your child to be an incredibly precious and generous gift - one that we look forward to with excitement and hope.
