Hi! Our names are Tom and Martha. We want to begin by thanking you for reading our letter and considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We can't imagine the emotions you are feeling at this time but we admire the extraordinary courage and love for your child you show when considering adoption. As adoptive parents we will provide your child with all the love, laughter, and support that they deserve.

As adoptive parents we can offer your child both stability and flexibility. We have both worked in our career fields for sixteen years. Because of Martha's teaching schedule and the flexibility in Tom's management schedule we are able to schedule days off together and vacations during fall, Christmas, spring, and summer breaks when school is not in session. This will allow us to spend a great amount quality time together as a family. Our stability is seen in both our careers and our marriage. We have been married for six years. We share in the household chores and enjoy doing both the outside and inside work together. We still hold hands on the couch, and kiss each other goodbye. We make sure that we tell each other "I Love You" everyday. Our love is as strong today as it was the day we said "I Do". We can't wait to share with your child the love we have for each other.

During our life together we have struggled with infertility. We love our neighborhood, home and families, but know there is something missing from our lives. We have always hoped to be a family of four or five. We now realize that God wanted us to build our family through adoption. Since we both came from families of six, we have experienced the joy that is shared between family members. We both were brought up in stable Christian homes with strong morals and taught respect for others. We both were active in band and other school activities that taught us how to work with others towards a common goal, communicate, and the feeling of success for a job well done. Our parents were band boosters and school volunteers. They were and still are our cheering section. Our parents have been married for over forty years and because of our strong upbringing, wonderful role models, and the values that our parents instilled in us there is no doubt with our desire and commitment that we will make great parents for your child.

The plans we have for your child are endless. Things like birthday parties, baking cookies, going to the zoo, decorating for holidays, riding horses, going to baseball games, cooking hotdogs over a bonfire, riding 4 wheelers, making smores, traveling, and so much more. Your child will have all the opportunities that we can possibly provide that will make their lives fulfilling in every way.

We look forward to watching your child succeed in life and to being there for both the good times and the bad. We will celebrate with their successes and wipe away the tears when things don't go just as they had planned. We will provide opportunities for your child to be able to develop skills that will help him/her build self-esteem and self-confidence things like scouting, team sports, playing an instrument, taking dance or whatever their interests may be. We will encourage and support them in school and at home so that they can have the best education possible. We want your child to grow up to be a happy, well rounded, educated, loving, respectful person that has a strong foundation of spirituality and morals and the encouragement to pursue a wide range of goals and interests.

Thanks again for considering us as parents for your child. You are a very special person and we desire to get to know you better. We think that is very important that your child knows the love that you have for them and for the great sacrifice that you made for them. If you would like, it is our desire to keep in contact with you through pictures, letters and emails so you can be assured that your child is being loved, cherished, provided for and especially happy. Your child will always know that your decision was made with the utmost love for them. We feel very blessed to have this opportunity to be parents through adoption and we look forward to welcoming your child into our home.
