Dear Birth Parent(s),

We want to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We also want to commend your strength for considering adoption for your child. We can not imagine a more loving, courageous, and selfless act.

Our names are Jared and Angela. We have been married for 6 wonderful years and have been talking about having a family by adopting a child since we started dating. We waited to begin our adoption journey, until we were stable in our careers and ready to parent a child. We both love camping and spending time with our families. We also like spending time working on our house, going for walks or spending time together. We truly enjoy each other's company and find something to laugh and smile about, no matter what we are doing. We are excited about family vacations with a child, sharing family traditions and starting new traditions. We are looking forward to adopting a child because we believe the love of a family is meant to be shared.

We will let your child know that he/she has a special place in our heart and home. We will raise your child in a loving, stable and fun environment. We will encourage and support your child in any interests or hobbies they would like to explore. We believe that education is very important and we will encourage your child to complete their education goals. We will incorporate holidays and family meals to celebrate your child's heritage or nationality. We believe that parenting is a very important and rewarding journey. Our goal in raising a child is that when they are older and look back on their life with us, they feel that they were loved, respected and given every opportunity to pursue their dreams.

We have spent time with all of our family members and talked to them about our decision to adopt. Our families are very excited, supportive and ready to welcome a new member. Our families have provided us with a lot of love and understanding while going through the adoption process. Your child will have six cousins to get to know and play with!

We are excited about meeting you and learning about what you would like for your child. We hope to pass on letters from you and other memories you would like to share with your child. We will tell your child about how much you love him/her and that is was through your generous decision that we became a family. We will send pictures, letters and/or e-mails as your child grows. If you would like, we are open to having periodic visits with you in the future and/or phone calls as your child grows. We can not imagine what you are going through right now, but through an ongoing relationship with us, we would like you to be a part of your child's life.
