Thank you for looking at our profile. We can only image the difficult decision you are facing right now and admire your courage and selflessness.
Our names are Rich and Ornella. We have been married for over three years and feel blessed that we have found each other. We always start our day with a kiss and love yous, and end it in the same manner. We never end a phone conversation without our "love you" send offs. It might sound corny to others, but it means a great deal to us.
We both love children and feel that parenting is the most important job that we could be blessed with doing. We look to be strong role models for your child and will always strive to give him/her unconditional love, support, and encouragement. We will give him/her all the support that they need, may it be emotionally, financially, mentally. We will always be his/her #1 fan! We knew when we started our relationship that we would not be able to have a biological child because Ornella had an unplanned hysterectomy earlier. We knew that we wanted to have another child together so we are putting our faith and our hearts in adopting a child and look forward to loving and cherishing the child.
We anxiously look forward to celebrating birthdays, riding bikes, going to the movies, visiting relatives and friends. We enjoy the outdoors - snow tubing, hiking, ice skating - these activities and more, we will share with your child. We usually take two vacations a year - in the spring we visit the mountains; in the summer, we go to the beach. How wonderful it will be to share all of these things with your child.
Ornella has three children, a daughter, Lauren, (24) and twin sons, Lorenzo and Massimo, (21) who are as thrilled as we are for an addition to our family. Since they have their own lives, they don't live with us, but visit and call often. Lauren graduated from college two years ago and works as an assistant manager at a well-known department store; Lorenzo and Massimo are in their last year of college. We have many traditions that we look forward to sharing with your child - such as piling into our truck and driving to a nearby farm to pick pumpkins, then go home and carve them. We display the pumpkins on Halloween night on our front porch. Another, again piling in our truck, going to a tree farm and picking our Christmas tree - when we have picked out the perfect tree (well, actually two trees), Rich cuts it down, carries it to the truck, and off we go back home to decorate them! We also host Thanksgiving dinner for our families - we have a great deal of fun and are stuffed by the end of the evening with all the goodies - both of our mom's love to bake, so there are plenty of desserts.
Our families and friends are anxiously waiting for the arrival of your child. And Rich's parents are so looking forward to the first grandchild!
Be assured that your child will know how they came to be part of our family. We plan to discuss their adoption from day one. We will let them know any special wishes you may have for them and anything you want them to know about you. We will gladly share letters and pictures with you as your child grows and develops. We understand that choosing adoption for your child can be a very difficult decision. We admire you for your strength and courage.
We want more than anything to have an addition to our family. Please be assured that this child will be loved and nurtured by us, but also by our families. We hope that you choose us - in doing so you will have answered our prayers. Thank you.
