We welcome you into our hearts. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and for considering us as
parents for your baby. We cannot imagine the emotional journey you are on right now. But we do know of the tremendous love and unselfishness you have in your heart. You truly are a special person for wanting only the best in life for this baby. Let us reassure you that this baby will always know where he or she came from.
Our names are Mike and Patty. We have been married for 4 years and together for 10 years. Believe it or not, we met in April 1997, online!! We were both just searching around for people in our neighborhood to talk with. We found each other and just started chatting via instant messenger for some time and then decided to meet. We finally met at an Italian coffee/ice cream Shoppe. We spent hours just talking and then went for a walk along the river watching the 4th of July fireworks. We both realized from that moment that our history was beginning. We now spend every 4th of July together and make it as special as the first.
We have a very loving marriage and enjoy spending time with each other. Even after all these years we still go out on weekly dates. We have a "Family Day" every weekend with our dogs, Shotzie and Mona Lisa. One of our great loves is to travel and we do it as often as possible. We like to travel to different cities and states, especially to theme parks and other children friendly places. We would love to show a child all the places we have discovered together.
We also spend time with our friends and their children. We go to many different places together - such as Disney World and Sea World. We are now planning a visit to Universal Studios to see the Macy’s Christmas Parade. Every Friday night, we all go out for "Pizza Night". If we don't get to travel to our families for a holiday then it is spent with our dear friends and their family. We have always felt like a part of their family since we met them.
As a Pediatric Nurse, Patty has an overabundance of love for children, and Mike is a boy in a man's body. His
nickname is "Snoopy". Together we would make great parents. After trying to conceive on our own without
success we started fertility treatments. These treatments were also without success. So we thought long and hard about where we would go from here. We both wanted so much to be a Mom and Dad. But that is not the road we were given to travel. Our road was taking us on a detour, one that would hopefully fill our hearts with love. We both knew of many people who were either adopted or who had adopted children. What a great thing to do! We then knew where our road was to go - - to adoption. Our families and friends are so supportive of us adopting. They get so excited at the thought of us raising a child. We both have so much to give a child. A good home,
education, financial support, good moral values, many family and friends and most important we have hearts full of love. This child will always feel the love.
We are very excited at the thought of becoming parents. We want to learn about you and the dreams/future you want for this baby. We will gladly share pictures and letters as he or she grows up if that is what you desire. We want you to know that this baby will always know of the love that surrounds him/her. We will always portray you as a loving person who wanted only the best for her child. We will always answer any and all questions openly and honestly. We want our children to always know where they came from and to know as much as possible about their birthparents.
We hope that you find peace in the knowledge that the life growing inside you will always be loved and cherished. May God bless you and give you comfort and strength. Take care of yourself.
