Thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents to your child. We appreciate your willingness to learn about us, and hope that we are able to provide you with enough information to assist in your adoption planning. We can only imagine the difficult decision you are facing right now and admire your selflessness and courage. We believe that your decision is incredibly noble and reflects a warm heart full of compassion. We believe adoption is the greatest gift of love, and we want to assure you that we are able to give your child a safe and loving family. We pray that you are receiving the love and support that you need during this difficult time.

Our names are Steve and Tammie and we have chosen adoption to complete our family. We are good people-we have enormous hearts and strong moral values. We dated for twelve years and have been married for almost three years now and feel so fortunate to be together. We feel we know each other better than most new couples because we knew each other for such a long time before marrying. We cannot wait to share with a child all of the love that we have for one another.

Although we realize we are truly blessed to have one another, we feel there is a great void in our lives without children. Children have always been the most important priority in our lives, and we both have dreamed about the day we could paint a nursery and pick out the perfect bassinet. Entering our marriage we were both excited that the possibility of becoming parents was opening up. However, when Tammie was forced to have surgery that made her infertile, the possibility of having a child of our own disappeared. We both know the Bible considers a family complete when it includes children and we are anxious for our family to be whole. We have prayed and have faith that adoption is right for us. We have been excited throughout the adoption process and pray that our dreams will be fulfilled according to God's plan.

As parents we believe it is essential to provide an environment that encourages open communication. We plan to support your child's involvement in his or her own chosen hobbies, interests, extracurricular activities and educational opportunities. We both have had experience in caring for children. We enjoy the role that we have in the lives of our nieces and nephews. We also have worked with the children in our church. It's obvious to both of our families that we are going to make great parents.

We have endless plans for your child, especially family-oriented activities such as celebrating birthdays, baking cookies, picking out the Christmas tree, and beginning our own family traditions. We want to introduce your child to a variety of activities, and we cannot wait to include a little one in our vacation plans. A child gives us a great reason to go to the beach and to visit Disneyland! We both had many opportunities and challenges as children, with small town roots and early exposure to "big city life". We plan the same upbringing for your child; a home in a comfortable, rural community, with a larger metropolitan environment close by. We both had the privilege of great educations, both in grade school and in college, and we will provide that same gift for your child. We intend to give your child every chance to enjoy their youth and grow to be successful adults!

We are blessed to have parents who live close by and plan to care for your child when we are prepared to return to work. Tammie works minutes from our families and home, so her schedule is extremely flexible when needed to be with your child. We have structured our personal, professional and financial lives so that we can give great care to your child.

Be assured that your child will know how they came to be in our family. We will present your life in a positive and grateful way. Let us know of any special wishes you may have for your child. He or she will know that it was your generous love and unselfishness that allowed us the opportunity to have them be a part of our lives.
