We want to start out by saying thank you for considering the difficult decision to choose adoption for your child. We can't imagine the pain that you must be going through in making this decision. Your courage and openness to adoption shows how much you love your child. If you decide that you'd like us to raise your child, we want to assure you that we will do so with unconditional love and encouragement, and that we'll do our very best to make sure that he/she has a happy childhood and is well prepared for adulthood.
Our names are Courtney and Dave. We have been married for over 3 years and are still very much in love with each other. While we both enjoy spending time with our friends, the times that we savor the most are the times that we spend together. We both place family above all else and are very traditional in our views of parenting. After recovering from the disappointment of being unable to conceive a baby ourselves, we've realized that it's our calling to adopt. We both love children very much and are more excited about adoption that we can begin to explain. Put simply, we can't wait to become parents!
Raising a family has always been our primary focus. Having experienced happy childhoods ourselves, we are more than anxious to help create a loving and happy childhood for your child. We can't wait to share with your child all of the activities that made our own childhood so wonderful. Family trips to Disneyland, the beach, celebrating Christmas, soccer or baseball games, dance or piano recitals, and the license to just let loose and play!
Education is very important to both of us, so it's very important that we provide your child with the best education possible. While we live in a community with good public schools, we would like to send your child to a private school that's known for the quality of their education. And we will be there with your child at every step of his/her academic career - from helping with homework to cheering on every academic achievement.
We can promise you that we will be strong role models and will provide your child with the same amount of love that we received from our parents when we grew up, if not more! Your child will be the center of our lives, and we will do everything in our power to make sure that he/she is happy and grows up to be a responsible and successful adult. We also promise you that we will be honest about adoption with your child, and that we will let your child know that you did a wonderfully courageous and loving thing by choosing adoption. We will stress that your decision to choose adoption, while difficult, was made because you love your child and wanted what was best for him/her. Depending upon how involved you would like to be, your child will know everything about you, and you will know everything about your child. Your child will know that while we may be raising him/her, you are the one that brought him/her into the world.
