Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Juan & Julie

Hello, our names are Juan and Julie. Thank you so much for reading our letter and getting to know a little about us. This must be such an overwhelming time in your life, with so many questions and concerns; we can only imagine the difficult decision that you're facing. We hope to provide you with information that might help you in your decision. The fact that you are considering adoption shows a selfless heart, and we know you want the best for your child. We hope to be the family that can give your child a life filled with love and opportunities to grow into the person he/she dreams of being.

First, a little about ourselves. We met each other when we were 18, and were each other's "first love", dating for 4 ½ years. Although we truly loved each other, we felt too young for marriage so we went our separate ways. A year after Julie's 1st marriage ended, a funeral of all things brought us back in touch with one another. We both felt that God brought us back together for a reason, and it was meant to be. We were married less than a year later. We felt blessed to be able to share the rest of our lives together, and we tried to have a child right away. We've explored many ways to have a child, and we hope that our dream of a child together can be realized through adoption. By entrusting us to raise your child as part of our family, you would be answering our prayers.

Our family includes our two boys, Griffin and Jake, ages 9 and 7. Juan has been in their lives since they were 4 and 2, so he really is their second dad. Griffin and Jake have been asking for a little brother or sister for years, and would be so excited to be big brothers. We want to include your child in some of our favorite activities - going hiking through the nearby mountains, or going to our favorite lake in the summer for boating or in the winter for skiing/tubing. Of course, we also have favorite holiday traditions. Halloween pumpkin carving and decorating is a favorite, and Christmas is a holiday that we go all out for. Juan sets up his Christmas train for the kids, and every year we go out to hunt down the perfect tree, then decorate it while listening to Christmas carols and eating goodies. Both of our extended families all live nearby, so it's quite a party at holiday time when we all get together. Our families get very goofy and silly when we're all together, and a lot of laughter and crazy stories keep us all close.

We want to give your child the opportunities to grow and develop into the best person he/she can be. Fortunately, we are in a position where Julie can stay home with a new baby, continuing to pursue her Masters in counseling, and hopefully return to work when the child is in school. We feel our job as parents is to provide unconditional love, support and encouragement. We also believe we should teach morals and values to our children so they understand right from wrong and can make good decisions in life, but we'll always be there to listen, guide, and continue to support them in the decisions they face with an open heart and open mind. We feel we've been so blessed, especially with loving family and friends, and we hope to share all our blessings with your child.

Please know that the love you feel for your child, and the difficult decision you were faced with will always be discussed with him/her. We will talk about what a gift this child is to us, and what a selfless and generous choice you made in order to give your child the best in life. We hope to exchange pictures and letters with you, if you so desire, and we'd like to know any special information you want us to share with your child, as well, in order to give a sense of the person you are. We hope to honor the special role you will always have in your child's life as his/her biological mother.

Thank you so much for opening up your heart to this decision, and for reading our profile. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers at this time, and always.

Sincerely,

Juan & Julie
