Dear Birth Parent(s),

Our names are Scott and Cheryl. We want to thank you for considering adoption for your child. This is a very unselfish thing for you to do. We can't even imagine how difficult this must be. We hope and pray that you are getting the love and support you need during this difficult time. We'd also like to thank you for reading about us and allowing yourself the opportunity to get to know us a bit more.

We've just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. We've been trying to conceive a child of our own, but have been unsuccessful. There is a certain heartbreak that you feel when you finally realize that you cannot bear a child of your own. You grieve for a time and then you move on. During that grieving time we came to realize that we don't have to have a child of our own to be parents. Love, understanding, compassion, forgiveness, are some of the qualities that make one a parent. We have several friends who have adopted and have made us part of their journey. It has been wonderful to see their children grow and prosper. Believe us when we say that we will give your child all the love they can hold and then some.

We will bring your child up in a Christian family that is positive, supportive and full of love. We attend church regularly and your child will attend the bible school that is held every Sunday. We will teach your child right from wrong and give them the knowledge they need to make the correct decisions themselves when we aren't around to help them. Children's church is held monthly. This is so much fun to watch. The kids sing a song or put on a little play. We look forward to the day when we will watch your child sing.

We will introduce your child to all the world has to offer and guide them along life's way. We plan on trips to baseball parks and Disney World, annual Christmas parades and holiday traditions, birthday parties with friends and vacations to the beach. We look forward to beginning our own family traditions.

Education will be an important part of your child's life. They will be given many opportunities to explore their interests and to learn new things. We have several museums nearby and plan on taking advantage of those to expose your child to different cultures and aspects of life. The schools in our area are top-notch and your child will have the best.

Rest assured that your child will know how they came to be part of our family. We will describe your life in a positive way and let them know how grateful we are to you for presenting us with an opportunity to become a family. We will share pictures with you on special days and keep you as up to date as you want to be on your little one. We know that this must be difficult for you and we admire and respect you for your courage in making this decision.

If you choose us to be the parents of your baby, we will be eternally grateful for the wonderful gift you have given to us. You are truly a special person who deserves the best.
