Dear Birth Parent(s),

Thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents for your child. The decision you are about to make is a difficult one and demonstrates a great deal of courage and selflessness. We can assure you that we will honor your decision by providing your baby with a home filled with love, laughter, support, and stability. We will do everything to assure that your child has access to all that life has to offer, surrounded by unconditional love and understanding.

Our names are Tom and Dawn. We have been married for nine years and had always envisioned a home with many children in it, such as we had growing up. Sadly, we suffered an ectopic pregnancy eight years ago resulting in the loss of one of Dawn's fallopian tubes. We tried fertility drugs, inseminations, and in vitro. Each time we received the negative results, our disappointment was multiplied. We have so much love in our hearts that we wanted to share with children. We then realized that it was God's plan that we build a family through adoption.

In 2004, we were blessed when we adopted our son. He has been the joy of our lives for the last three and a half years. As previously mentioned, we continue to send emails, letters, and pictures to his birthmother. We also discuss adoption freely within our home, to help him to understand our family.

We had always dreamed of more than one child. We both were blessed with large, loving families, and truly value the support and friendship that they provide. We have the types of families where everyone helps each other out. Repairs, babysitting, whatever - it's never a burden. Family is very important to us. We have so much more to give.

We would love to welcome your child into our family and help him or her develop into a happy, well-rounded adult. We know that we can give your child a wonderful life of happy memories. We cannot wait to dress him or her up for Halloween, bake cookies, pick out a Christmas tree, or watch the St. Patrick's Day parade. We look forward to sharing our love and life with another child. Sharing our interests with them, and creating new ones will be a learning experience for all of us.

Be assured that your child will know how they came to be in our family. He or she will know that it was your generous love and unselfishness that allowed us the opportunity to have them be a part of our lives. We will gladly share pictures and letters with you as your child grows and develops.
