Thank you so much for considering us as parents for your child. We are so excited to embark on this journey of becoming parents through adoption. We want nothing more than to share our love, life and laughter with a child. We have longed to be parents since we were married six years ago. We have tried unsuccessfully to conceive a child and came to the realization that God has other plans for us to become parents. We have since begun this process of adoption.
Both of us look forward to the day of holding that special child in our arms and devoting our lives to this child. We both feel that we are so rich in love and life and we want so much to share that with a child. We want to share our life experiences and make sure that this child will have many different types of opportunities while growing up to enrich his/her life. Whether it is education, sports, music, church activities, or travel we want this child to
get the most out of life and reach their full potential. We will be there to provide this financially, mentally and
emotionally. We will be your child's biggest cheerleader. We will always maintain a positive attitude and teach manners and respect towards others. We want your child to grow up to be a happy, confident and successful individual. We want to be strong role models for your child and provide unconditional love, support, encouragement and
consistency.
We both can't wait to be able to bake cookies together as a family and celebrate holidays and birthdays. We are looking forward to taking vacations to Disneyland and camping and fishing. Jesse is eager to introduce music and instruments and Betsy is looking forward to reading and going to the park and having lots of quality time and fun together! We have nieces and nephews that are young and it will be fun to watch them all grow up together and develop relationships with each other.
We look forward to learning and starting new traditions that reflect your child's heritage and ethnicity. We want your child to always be proud of who they are. We will provide books, toys and movies that reflect this as well. We also feel it will be important to be part of a diverse playgroup so your child has peers to relate to and identify with.
Adoption is already a part of our extended family. Jesse has four cousins who were adopted from Haiti who are of African American heritage. They live an hour from us and we see them several times a year.
We are very fortunate that while Jesse works full time, Betsy will be able to be a stay at home mom and be there everyday for your child's every need. Jesse has weekends, holidays and a portion of the summer off and we look forward to vacationing around this time.
We would love to know about any special wishes or thoughts you may have for this child. We would love to talk with you before the birth so you can get to know us and feel confident about your decision. We would be very
willing to be present with you at the hospital during or after the time of your delivery as a support and would also completely understand if you wished otherwise. We want to honor your wishes to the best of our ability. We can't imagine what you must be going through and we know you have incredible strength and love to make such an important decision.
We will always be open and upfront from the beginning with your child about how he/she became a part of our family and how he/she
has such very special birthparent(s) who, love him/her so very much and wanted only the best for him/her. Your child will always know that this decision was made out of an enormous amount of love and unselfishness. We will also send you pictures and letters as often as you like, so you can be constantly reassured of your decision.
If you choose us to be parents for your baby, we will forever be grateful for this wonderful gift you have given us and you will always remain close in our thoughts and prayers and forever in our hearts.
