Our names are Kevin and Dulce. As you consider your adoption plan, we want to first express how much we respect your courage, your compassion and your selflessness. We hope that you are surrounded by love and support during this trying time.
A little about us, soon we will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary. We met while we were both enlisted in the U.S. Navy over 15-years ago. Although we didn't think it possible back then, we are now more in love today. To sum it up, we are each other's every thing. After so many years, there's not a day that goes by that we don't make each other laugh and yes we still call each other at some point throughout our workday (everyday) just to whisper sweet nothings.
We are the couple everyone who knows or meets us say we're meant to have children. After several unsuccessful attempts to conceive biologically, we have chosen adoption to complete our family. We love children and have taken active roles in the lives of our nieces, nephews and cousins. We raised our 2nd cousin from the age of 1 to just shy of 3 yrs old. We certainly had a crash course on parenting from the simple things as potty training, selecting the right car seats and nursing a fever. How enriched our lives were because of this experience. We are well aware of the level of care and responsibility that it takes to be parents. This experience strengthened our belief that a child steals your heart from the moment it comes into your life be it biologically or through adoption.
Parenting is the most important and rewarding job in the world. If you choose us, we know it will be a blessing for all of us and will strive to honor your selfless act and your decision. We pledge first and foremost a nurturing home, a great education and our undying devotion. We will teach and reinforce good values. The child will always be our first priority.
We can't wait to introduce the child to the best family and friends we can ever wish for. All of them have been our rock through our journey and are just as anxious as we are to welcome the newest addition to our family. Our
families are culturally and ethnically diverse just in our immediate family there are five ethnicities. Know that the child could not be more loved and will receive mounds of encouragement from them all.
We have countless plans for your child especially family oriented activities such as our yearly family vacations to the shore, pumpkin picking, selecting the perfect Christmas tree and going to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show. Of course there is always Disneyland and all those things but it's the excitement of being able to start our new traditions based on the child's interests as he/she develops we most look forward too.
If you desire, we will regularly send pictures and letters so that you can be constantly reassured of your decision. We will be open and honest with the child from the onset about their adoption. We will always portray you in the best light and grateful way. We will show them that your decision was incredibly painful and it was because your unselfish love and wanting what was best for him/her that offered us the opportunity for them to be in our lives.
We could never imagine what you're feeling. We promise if you choose us we will give them unconditional love and support. We vow to teach them the value of family and provide them with the tools to follow their dreams. We thank you for taking the time to read our profile.
