Hello! We are John and Rebecca, and we are so glad that you are reading our letter. We hope our profile has helped you get to know us and feel the love we have for each other and the love we have to share with any little one who comes into our lives through the gift of adoption.

We consider ourselves not only husband and wife, but best friends. From the first time we met, we knew there was something special between us. Shortly after we started dating, we made an effort to see each other daily. We ate dinner together every evening, and saying good-bye at the end of the day was very difficult. We were married exactly one year from the date of our first kiss. We are still as much in love as we were when we married ten years ago.

We have always known that we wanted a family. Since we are unable to have biological children, we believe it is God's desire for us to adopt. Your child will be viewed not only by us, but by our friends and families as well, as a miracle.

Our families are extremely excited about our plans to adopt. Rebecca's four sisters are adopted, so adoption is a natural part of family. Since we both have several siblings, your child will have lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. This makes family gatherings a lot of fun. We enjoy playing games, swimming, and eating barbeque, but the best part is always playing on the floor with the kids.

We both believe parenting is the most important and the most rewarding job in the world. Because of this belief, your child will be nurtured in a loving, Christ-centered home. Rebecca will leave her teaching job to be a full-time mom. We know that God will give us the emotional, loving, and financial means necessary to help your child succeed in whatever they endeavor.

We enjoy spending a lot of time together. We like to go for walks around a nearby lake, play games in the evening, snuggle up with a good movie, or head out for a good day of shopping. We often picture how life will be when we have a child to enjoy these things with us. Our time together will then include trips to the zoo, programs at the local nature center, and story time at the library to name a few.

We both believe in the importance of education. Education is an extremely high priority. It is our intention to provide your child with the best education possible. When he/she reaches school-age, we will compare public and private school options.

We will create an adoption album for your child telling the story of how he/she came into our lives. This will be a favorite book at our house. We have every intention of being completely open about the adoption. Your child will always know that your decision was made out of love. We will honor your courageous, unselfish, heartfelt decision. We will send you pictures and letters, if you so desire, so you can be assured of your decision.
