Our names are John and Kim. It is with heartfelt joy and anticipation that we thank you for considering us as your child's adoptive parents. We recognize how incredibly brave and courageous this decision is for both you and for your child. We know this might be a stressful time for you and we send a loving hug your way. We want you to know we will honor and support your decision by providing a loving, stable family for your child. We promise this child will be loved unconditionally!

5 years ago, Kim won tickets through a United Way event to attend a local hockey game. Kim extended a friendly invitation to John to join her for the game, and we have been together ever since! Kim seemed to have waited her whole life to find her soul mate and best friend, and on the drive home from the game that night, she said to herself, "This is the man I'm going to marry." We believe that both of us knew instantly that we were meant to be together. It sounds kind of hokey, but it was true. We were married in July 2004 and shared this joyous day with our family and friends.

Family has always been an important part of both of our lives. Growing up in a large family Kim doesn't remember a time when she wasn't dreaming of being a Mom. Kim was always helping out with her brothers and sisters. Being a "mini-mom" to her siblings, babysitting the neighborhood kids and having sleepover visits from her nieces and nephews have always been a treat. John being the youngest of 4 practically grew up with his nieces and nephews and enjoyed being a role model for them. He was active in sports, a good student, and a loving son.

We have chosen adoption to create our family because we can not have children of our own. We have so much love to give and want to nurture and provide for this child as loving, supportive parents. Adoption has touched Kim's life personally with her sister and her niece both being adopted and we know that this experience has been a joyous process in diversifying our love and our families. We support adoption and what this means for both you and your child. Your child will always know how brave you were in making this decision, and how much they were loved. We look forward to sharing and sending pictures to you so you will feel secure in your choice.

We were instilled with strong values and traditions as children and are stable and well adjusted adults. We look forward to sharing these traditions with your child as they grow up. Singing to and rocking him/her to sleep. Nightly story books. Kissing a "Boo, Boo", wiping away tears, sharing in joyful laughter. Decorating for the Christmas holidays and baking cookies. Teaching him/her how to ride a bike, how to swim and to dance.

We are filled with hope that you are considering us as parents for your child. We are already a family, but we know the precious gift of a child would simply complete us.
