Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Scott & Jill

We would first like to say thank you for choosing adoption for your child and for taking the time to read our profile. We can not imagine what a difficult decision this is for you but it speaks volumes of the love you have for your child. We will be sure to tell him or her of the sacrifices that you made for them and that they are loved not only by us, but you as well. If it is your desire, we would be glad to share letters and pictures with you through the years.

Our names are Scott and Jill and we have been happily married for over seventeen years. A few years after we were married we started trying to have a family, but that didn't go the way we had planned. Jill and her brother were both adopted as infants and we knew that adoption was a great way to make our dreams of being parents a reality. Because of Jill's own positive experience with being adopted, we feel this will be an added benefit to your child, not only will this child be able to learn about their own adoption, but Jill will be able to share her own experience with the child. In September of 2005 we were blessed with the adoption of our son Keegan. Keegan is very excited about being a big brother and we feel the same way. We have always wanted more than one child and also for Keegan to have a sibling since we have so many fond memories of growing up with ours.

We both grew up in stable loving homes, and have wonderful childhood memories. Our immediate families are close by and we see them often, not to mention that we are always together for holidays and birthdays. Jill's older brother has a four year old daughter and Scott's younger sister and husband have an eight year old and one month old daughter, so your child would have a loving family all around. Scott also has an older brother, who is married, and they are really excited about being an uncle and aunt again. Our parents are extremely happy for us and can't wait to have a new grandchild, and share in all the joy that comes with being grandparents. We also have a great support system from our extended family who we see a few times during the year.

We feel very fortunate to be able to have Jill be a full time stay at home mom. Jill's days are kept quite busy with Keegan. They go to a mom and child gym class and she also does swimming with him in the spring and tried soccer with him in the fall. Jill can not wait to share all of this with another child. We both really love the outdoors. On nice days we all enjoy being outside working in the vegetable garden, planting flowers, playing on our swing set, throwing the ball to our dogs (Bummer & Pudgie, we also have two cats, Tigger and Giz and a bird Spudley) or swimming in our pool. Scott enjoys fishing, golf and hunting just to name a few. He can not wait for the day that he can enjoy these activities with Keegan and your child. We also enjoy our annual vacations to the beach with family.

We believe the most important role in life is that of a parent, and it is something we do not take lightly. What we want to give your child is to nurture their spirit, encourage their creativity and to experience all the world has to offer in a loving family atmosphere. Above all to give them a sense of self and to let them know that no child is more loved or wanted.

Thank you again so much for taking the time to read our letter. One can only imagine what a difficult decision this is for you. We hope that you have a wonderful support system behind you as you make someone else's dreams of adding to their family come true. We cannot tell you enough how excited we are to add to this new chapter in our life.

With our Heartfelt Thanks,

Scott & Jill
