Dear Birth Parent(s),

The joy of parenthood can truly only be felt for those of us who have been blessed with the opportunity to raise a child. The unconditional love a parent has for a child is the strongest bond one can ever have in their life. And we would love to thank you for allowing us to experience this extraordinary happiness of being parents.

Our names are Markus and Gabriela. We met 14 years ago on a Caribbean Island and have been in love ever since. Gabriela comes from a big and animated family and Markus knew he wanted to be a part of it. As soon as we were married and started our new lives together, we knew we wanted to share the same lively atmosphere that Gabriela was used to. And since we are already a very energetic couple, the only thing we needed to do next was to expand our family.

For many years we battled with infertility and our hearts were breaking. At first we thought this tragedy of our infertility would prevent us from being the parents we have always wished to be. But with every closed door, God opens a window. In November of 2005 our biggest dream was fulfilled when Marcus Emilio was brought into our lives. The addition of Marcus Emilio into our family has brought such an indescribable joy to our lives, that we have never been happier. Being parents has allowed us to have the most rewarding experience we could ever ask for. Marcus Emilio is one of the happiest children we have ever seen and he fits into our family like the empty puzzle piece we have been missing. These past two years with him have been the best years of our lives so far. He loves the home we have provided for him in Switzerland and he loves travelling frequently to many different places like last year when we visited Gabriela's family in Virginia and Mexico.

The opportunities we can provide for him are endless and we are eternally grateful for allowing us to share our lives with such a wonderful child. The next thing we would love to provide for Marcus Emilio is a little brother or sister. That is where you come in. We have been so happy with the addition of Marcus Emilio in our lives we would love to extend our family even more. We have more than enough to provide for another child; we just need the opportunity to do so. Our lifestyle and personalities are ideal for raising children, which was a great start when we got Marcus Emilio.

But again, Gabriela comes from a big family, three siblings and Markus with only one, we know the importance of big families and sibling support. Sibling love and support can be one of the biggest gifts to raising children. Not only will this bring in more love and happiness into our lives, but this will allow us to give Marcus Emilio a sibling bond that will make him a better and stronger person. And since Marcus Emilio is such a wonderful child, we know that as a big brother he will also be an immense gift to any child we adopt.

We as a family have so much love to give, that we would be blessed if we could be granted another miracle of a second child in our lives.
