Two loving pediatricians, an adorable little boy, and a fluffy white dog are longing to have another child to
complete our family. As doctors we have dedicated our lives to caring for children, and are eager to have the
opportunity to share this great love and passion with your child.
We had a great life together but there always was a big piece missing because we could not conceive a child. With the adoption of Jaxson and a house full of toys, our lives became enriched and we have experienced more joy than we ever could have imagined. We are so excited about our decision to adopt a second child. Both of us grew up with siblings and feel that the bonds between brothers and sisters are very special.
We want you to know that your child will always be cherished. Our home environment is very loving and we make every day special. We will always be by your child's side, encouraging, teaching right from wrong, helping him or her to find happiness and a way to fulfill their dreams, whatever they may be. We can not wait to be a family of four!
Both of us have been blessed with terrific, stable parents (both have been married for over 35 years) and we credit them with making us who we are today. We were taught that there is nothing that you cannot accomplish if you are willing to try hard enough. We were given unconditional love, and when we made mistakes they forgave us, picked us up, and helped us get back on track. They were never judgmental, and always encouraged us to find our own path to happiness. We were taught to love all people and respect the differences in others. These are the same values and ideals we would share with your child.
To both of us family has always been a priority. Your child would be included in every aspect of our lives, from our morning walks in the park, to swimming in our pool, to family dinners filled with laughter. Both of us traveled extensively as children and we will give your child the same opportunities. Whether exploring the Grand Canyon or building sand castles in Hawaii, we want them to experience the many wonders which the world has to offer.
Although both of us have careers, they are ideal in giving us the flexibility to be home with the family. Laine is in private practice and works only three days a week. Blake does shift work and arranges his schedule so one of us is usually at home. Family time together is the most important part of every day.
Our dog Baxter ("a cotton ball on steroids" as our friends call him) is a full-fledged member of the family. For the past three years this seven pound Maltese has enriched our lives immeasurably. He is loving at all times and patient with everyone, especially children. It has been fun to see how Baxter has reacted to having a child in the family. It's as though he automatically took on a new role as watch dog and protector. He comes to us and barks
if Jaxson cries, as if saying "Hey, he needs you! Hurry up!" If someone
he doesn't know enters the house he barks furiously until he is introduced
properly. Then he takes a stand between them and Jaxson until he is certain they are judged to be "OK".
We know what a difficult decision this is for you, and promise that your child will always know of the great love you have for him or her. We will be glad to share pictures and letters with you as your child grows, so that you can feel confident that you made the right decision and that we have lived up to your expectations.
Thank you for taking the time to consider us. Please know that if you choose us, your child will be provided for financially, emotionally, and spiritually. You will be making our dreams come true and giving us the greatest gift of all, the opportunity to raise another child.
