Our names are Mark and Sandy. While we can't imagine all the thoughts, emotions and the agonizing decision- making process you must be going through at this time in your life, we admire and respect your courage. We also truly appreciate you considering adoption as an option for your child and for taking your time to find out more about us.
We met through our jobs. When Sandy met Mark she knew what qualities were important to her when it came to committing to a lifetime partner. Our relationship was effortless, we had a lot in common and it was "just right." We went forward, got married and immediately started trying to have a family. Unfortunately after several infertility specialists, procedures and two miscarriages, we redirected our family efforts toward adoption. It was the best decision we ever made.
Our miracle came to us when we got a call informing us that a most loving birth mother selected adoption as her parenting choice for her baby. We drove several hours to get to the hospital where we laid our eyes on the most precious gift anyone could ever give to someone. We will always be indebted in our hearts to our son's birthmother, as our life has forever changed because of her utmost loving decision.
Both of us come from families with siblings. Our fondest memories are those spent with our families, enjoying everyday family life and traditions. We would love for our son Charlie to have a sibling to grow up with, but this can only happen with the ultimate act of love from another birthmother.
It is because we take the role of parenting so important, we decided that Sandy would be a stay-at-home mother. Parenthood has been such a rewarding experience for us; it is like no other. We have so much fun just being together. We love to play together, go on vacations, run errands and bake cookies in the kitchen. But most of all we just love to cuddle, hug, read stories, sing, act silly and spend family time. We are truly a team and both of us share in the responsibilities of raising Charlie and doing household chores.
We believe every parent wants to do the best they possibly can for their child. That is why we will give your child unconditional love in a nurturing, secure home environment. We want to provide a home where a child's dreams, talents and goals can turn into realities. We will give your child opportunities to explore their own desires. Education is very important to us and we can assure you that your child will be given an excellent education.
Being good parents includes being good role models. We will provide your child values through living examples. We volunteer at church and help elderly neighbors with physically challenging yard work. We will raise your child to be self-confident, loving, caring, and polite, with respect for others and knowing right from wrong.
We can assure you that your child would be welcomed not only by loving parents, but also by the best big brother any little sister or brother could have. Charlie would be so proud and adoring. Our families are very supportive and join us in the excitement of welcoming another family member.
We would like to think of ourselves as being very open and honest, and for you to know how important communication is to us. Should you choose us to parent your child, we will be forever grateful to you. Your child will always know by your unselfishness that you did, in fact, give them what you wanted for him/her… an opportunity to have the life you would envision for your child. It would be wonderful to find out your hopes, dreams and desires for your child. Our wish is for you to get to know us so we can assure you of our sincerity, our promise to you, in sharing his/her life through photographs, letters, etc. that meets your comfort level.
Wishing you comfort, support and peace in your decision.
