Our names are Darrel and Jenifer. We want to thank you so much for taking the time to read about us. We admire your strength and courage as you make this important decision for your baby. We want to assure you that we are warm, loving, capable parents who will give your child the absolute best care and provide him or her with a safe, nurturing and happy family environment.

We have been happily married for twelve years and are best friends. We are high school sweethearts who dated several years before we married. We feel fortunate to have met each other so early in life. Our marriage is based upon strong love and commitment to each other. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters. Meghan is 8 years old and Ava is 2 years old. Due to serious complications during the birth of our oldest daughter, we are no longer able to have any more children on our own. We love being parents and chose adoption to expand our family, and adopted our youngest daughter, Ava, at birth. We are so fortunate to have her and can't imagine our lives without her. We are forever grateful to her birthmother and love sending her letters and pictures of Ava. We love our children with all our hearts and being parents is one of the most joyful and rewarding privileges in the world. We are now trying to build our family through adoption again and can't wait for a chance to love and parent another child.

Darrel is a very patient, kind, and dependable man with an easy-going personality. He owns a small business repairing heavy equipment. Darrel loves spending time with Meghan and Ava. Some of their favorite times are spent going to the park to feed the ducks or walking on the nature trails by the river. He is a wonderful father. Jenifer is a very loving and giving woman with a positive, upbeat personality. Jenifer is a dentist. Owning the dental practice, gives her the ability to have a very flexible schedule. We both work only four days a week. Jenifer enjoys taking Meghan and Ava to gymnastics and swimming at the YMCA during the week. In the evenings, we like reading books and playing games with the girls. We enjoy having a three-day weekend every week. Together as a family we love to go camping in our camper every chance we get.

Both Meghan and Ava are very happy and playful little girls. There is always laughter, singing and silliness in our home. We all dance together, color, paint, and make big messes. The bigger the mess, the more fun we are having. We often have all the blankets and pillows off the bed because they are needed in making a fort. Meghan is excited about becoming a big sister again. She will love sharing toys and experiences with a little brother or sister, just as she shares them with Ava now. Ava loves babies and already demonstrates a thoughtful and loving nature when she is around them.

We would like to tell you about the kind of parents we are. We are the parents who always have time to answer a child's question. We are the parents who are never too old to join in the game. We will teach our children how to love themselves and be proud of who they are. We will teach them to laugh and love life. We believe in the importance of education. We will offer and provide our children with all the encouragement they need in order to receive the best education possible, and the means to enroll in the best schools. We will encourage our children to develop their own spirituality and guide them as Christians. We will love them unconditionally with all the fullness of our hearts. They will be the focus of our lives.

We would love to send letters and pictures, if you wish, as your child grows and changes. Adoption has been such a wonderful part of our lives already.
