Thank you for taking the time to learn about and consider us as adoptive parents to your child. We believe strongly above all else that being a parent means you must be unselfish for the sake of your child. Choosing adoption
for your child is by far the most unselfish and courageous thing any parent could do and we are humbled by your obvious love for your child. We cannot imagine what you may be going through or how difficult this must be but we want to assure you that if you choose us we will ensure that your child has love, support, stability, happiness and all the hugs, kisses and cuddles that she can stand.
Our names are Todd and Janet and we have been together eight years and happily married for three. Early on in our dating we talked about having a child together and we are excited about this next step in our lives. We are already parents to two amazing eleven year old boys; Ryan, Todd’s biological son and Christian, Janet’s biological son. Our children are the most important part of our lives but unfortunately we do not have either boy full time. Since we share parenting responsibilities with the boys’ other parents there are many times that we are a family without our kids. We have all this parenting and love to give and yet we are only able to do that half of the time. We tried to have a biological child and after failed infertility treatment it became obvious that the best way to build our family is through adoption.
We feel we can offer your child a unique family situation. Our boys are very excited about having a new sister and have even helped to paint her room. She will have two older brothers to love her and protect her like brothers do and she will also get to experience being part of a big family and also have periods where she will have us
all to herself. It really is the best of both worlds. Janet works from home so your child will be able to enjoy a stay-at-home mom. Todd makes his own schedule and he always makes sure he has plenty of family time.
We are a fun loving family and always on the go. We cannot wait to bring your child along on all of our adventures; water parks, play dates, sporting events of all sorts and of course Disneyland our favorite place on earth. We imagine the boys will want to take her there the first week she is with us.
Our family is a huge sports family. Todd is an Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Brown "FANatic". During football season you can find the boys barbequing and hanging out in front of the TV. Janet attended ASU and our family are Sun Devil fans. We always attend 5-6 games a season. Our family loves to see women excelling in sports. Janet and her sisters are season ticket holders for the local WNBA team The Phoenix Mercury where they wear crazy hats and are famous at the games as the "cowboy hat girls". We are regulars at Coyotes hockey games and The Rattlers arena football games. If we are not watching professional sports, than we are playing sports. Ryan plays football and golf. Christian plays basketball and is on a competitive soccer team. Todd and Janet play on a coed softball team with Janet's family. We aren't very good, but we have fun.
While fun is always encouraged at our home, growing up to be a good little human is too. We will teach and reinforce good values, morals and manners. Our family loves God and He is at the center of all we do. Your child will not only be taught holiday fun and traditions, and we have plenty of those, but also what the true meaning of these
holidays are about. She will be taught to love everyone regardless of their circumstances or what they look like.
Your child will always be encouraged to chase her passions and dreams and she will be supported by us in everything she decides to do. Her opportunities are endless. We will gladly send you letters keeping you up to date on your child’s accomplishments and experiences and we are always taking lots of pictures so we will definitely have lots of photos to send you.
We will be very open with your child about how she came to us. We are creating a scrapbook for her to help her know where she came from. We will include items like letters from our parents telling us how happy they are we are adopting and we would love anything you would like to contribute such as pictures, a letter or maybe a wish or hope for her if you so desire. Your child will always know what a courageous, brave and loving decision you made for her and we will always be thankful. Your child will always know not only how much we love her but also how much you love her.
Thank you for reading our letter and profile and may God be with you to guide you through this decision.
