Our names are Mahlon, and Teresa. We want to thank you for taking the time to look at our letter and profile. Our hearts and prayers go out to you as you face these difficult choices. We admire your courageous and unselfish decision in even considering adoption.

We have been married for 2 years, but have known each other since grade school. One of our first dates was at a rodeo. We were up on the bleachers and it started raining (we got soaked to the gills!!) and we were a couple from that night on!!

We have always been good friends. Mahlon is the strong silent type. "Still waters run deep" describes him well. Teresa is the high energy type. Happy go lucky would describe her. We compliment each other well. Mahlon is Teresa's rock and steadies her, while Teresa perks him up and makes him laugh!! We have battled with infertility and also miscarriages, but it has made our relationship deeper, and stronger.

Teresa: I love Mahlon's dry sense of humor, his willingness to teach and his patience. One of the qualities I admire most about him is his tenderness. That comes out in many ways, when a movie deeply touches him, or he comes home from work and fixes supper when I am exhausted. He is always willing to help someone out, when there is a need. Mahlon is always putting someone else first and leaving himself until last. Mahlon also has a strong work ethic and a "keep at it till it's done" attitude. He is a wonderful handyman and can fix almost anything. I guess you could call him a Jack of all Trades. Another wonderful quality he has is to keep things fair and to stand up for what is right.

Mahlon: Teresa has a soft, tender, caring heart. She is wonderful with kids. She spends time with them and gets down on their level. She will make an awesome Mom because she will give your child her all. One of the qualities I admire most about her, she is a protector. If someone gets hurt (in any way-physically or emotionally) she will go to bat for them. She has always wanted to help the other person, especially if they are at the stage where they can't help themselves. Another great quality she has is her sense of humor. Among family and friends, she is the life of the party. Teresa is also a wonderful cook and loves to bake. One of her specialties is homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.

Our most important goal is to have a healthy, happy and secure family. They will know they are very loved and precious to us. We will raise them in a Christian home. We both believe that instills good morals, ethics and a sense of peace. We want them to have a well balanced personality: self confidence, responsibility and be able to laugh at themselves. We will cheer them on when they succeed and help them up when they don't. Teresa is currently a daycare provider. After the baby is placed she will be a full-time stay at home mom. Your baby will have Teresa's complete attention, care and love.

Please be secure in the fact that we will be honest and upfront with your child about his/her adoption right from the start. We will explain all the details about how they came to be part of this family and how heartrending it was for you to make this decision. Your child will know it was your deep, unselfish love that gave us the opportunity to have them in our lives.

We will put strong emphasis on the fact that you loved them with all your heart and wanted to give them the best things in life. We want your child to know as much as possible about you and what you did for them. There are no words to describe our deep gratitude for this precious, precious gift. If you have any requests, we would love to hear them. We will gladly send pictures and letters if that is your desire.

Again, it is our greatest desire to be parents. If you choose us as the parents for your baby, we will always be grateful for this wonderful gift you have given us. You will be an answer to prayer!!
