Our names are Ron and Dawn. It is with a grateful heart that we share with you this short story about our lives. We are humbled by the very special, sacrificial love you are demonstrating and we are honored that you've chosen to learn about us. Through these pictures and letter, we hope to give you a sense of who we are and the immeasurable amount of love we have to give another child. Being parents is such a wondrous journey and we can hardly wait to share all the love in our hearts with another baby.

We met each other in a country music establishment. Ron, standing just 5 feet 5 inches tall felt confident that he could make an impression on the 6 foot blonde standing before him. Dawn, not feeling comfortable with the height difference told him he was too short and declined several requests to go out with him. Love conquered all, as this summer we will be celebrating our 13th anniversary.

We tried for a few years to create a family, but it didn't quite work out as we had hoped. Our beautiful daughter Josselyn entered our lives through the miracle of adoption in 2000. Her smile and laughter gives us endless joy and fills our hearts with happiness. We would like our daughter to experience all the love and joy of a sibling as we both did.

Parenting is very crucial to the development of a child. We both share a strong interest in being involved parents by supporting our daughter's every day activities. We do our very best to offer her positive, healthy activities to be involved in, whether it is sports, music, social interaction or academics to allow her to grow. We share educational responsibility by taking turns with homework, reading and study time. We will teach your child the value of education and hard work but also the importance of enjoying life, having fun and being creative. We look forward to discovering your child's personality, interests and individual talents.

We will support your child in any road he/she chooses to follow and will always encourage him/her to communicate their hopes and fears and to pursue their dreams. We'll raise your child to be open-minded and non-judgmental, loving and respectful toward themselves and others and to value friendships and family.

Like most families, we both work. Ron gets home about 3:30 while Dawn arrives at 5:00. We sit down for dinner every night. Our families are very important to us and offer each other tremendous support with our children. Your child will be cared for by Dawn's mom as well as her sister, who is a "stay at home" mom.

As a couple, we have built a strong relationship, a loving friendship, a beautiful home and comfortable lifestyle. We are in good health and feel happy and content with our lives. We look forward to raising your child in the loving, enriching home environment that we have created.

We are good, honest, trustworthy people. We are easy to talk to and welcome any questions you may have. We desire to learn about you, your family and your hopes and dreams for your baby. We promise to always be open and honest with you about ourselves and to respect your privacy. We realize that children grow quickly and we are prepared to send you pictures and letters as often as you like, depending on your comfort level. We would also like to correspond with you via e-mail. At an age appropriate time, we will support your child in making contact with you, if this is something that you would like. Should you decide to choose us to fulfill your wishes, please know that your precious baby will have a positive childhood, with supportive and involved parents and will be surrounded by a loving, diverse and extended network of family and friends.
