Thank you for taking time to get to know us. We are so grateful you are considering choosing adoption for your child and hope you will see from this letter just how much love we have to offer. While we can never fully understand all of the feelings you must be going through with this very important decision you are faced with, we want you to know that we admire your incredible strength, courage and selflessness. You have our promise that we will always be respectful of all of your needs, fears, hopes and dreams.

We are Peter and Suzanne. We met thirteen years ago when we worked together for the same company in television advertising in New York City. Our mutual affection for each other was almost instantaneous. We shared similar interests, goals and especially sense of humor (we love to laugh!) and knew right away that we were meant for each other. We have been married for nine wonderful years and our love for each other has grown stronger with each day. Not a day goes by that we don't tell each other "I love you". We feel so fortunate to have found each other.

From the very beginning of our relationship we both expressed a strong desire to have children, so as soon as we were married we began trying to start a family. After many, many miscarriages and years of heartache we realize now that it has been God's plan all along that we start our family through adoption. We just know that there is a very special child out there for us and we can't wait to start loving him or her!

Our families have always said we'd make wonderful parents and have been so supportive of our decision to adopt. Much of our large family lives nearby so we get together often for backyard barbecues, birthdays, graduations and all of the holidays in between. We can't wait to include your child in all these exciting family events where he/she is sure to receive lots of hugs and kisses. But mostly, we look forward to beginning our own family traditions like baking birthday cakes, coloring Easter eggs, decorating the Christmas tree and summer vacations at the beach.

Education has always been very important to both of us so we were careful to choose a home in a safe, suburban neighborhood, which boasts some of the top-ranking schools in the state. Our quiet little town offers so many organized activities for neighbors to get together such as block parties, town fairs and holiday parades. It has that country feel and yet New York City is just a hop, skip and a jump away. We love living in such a close-knit community and have built some great friendships in the more than seven years we've been here.

Suzanne has already scaled down her work schedule to part-time and is so looking forward to her new role as a stay-at-home mom. With us, a child will have a loving, supportive and nurturing environment complete with laughter and security. A stable home filled with care, understanding, happiness and unconditional love. Your child will be guided and encouraged to follow his or her dreams while enjoying a happy, fulfilling childhood. We have been planning a family for so many years now that we just can not imagine our future together without children.

We just have so many dreams that include a child and we hope that your dream for your precious little one will include us. We would be happy to share letters and photos of your child with you. We will make sure that your child understands that he or she came to us through the miracle of adoption and we will share with your child everything we know about the generous, courageous and loving angel who delivered him or her to us - you.
