Dear Birth Parent(s),

We can't begin to know what you are going through as you make this difficult and courageous decision that will affect so many lives in so many ways. As you may already know Randy was adopted at birth and since that day he has been surrounded by a loving and supportive family. Thank you for the courage and for taking the time to consider us as the right family to entrust with the awesome responsibility of providing your child with the same love and care that Randy has experienced. Be assured that every family that you consider will give your baby a warm loving home and your child will be a blessing to the family that you choose.

Our names are Randy and Lynn. We have been married for sixteen years and we are best friends. When we first got married we thought that having a baby would be no problem. As the years went by, we found out that this wasn't the case. We read fertility books and went to doctors. We tried everything, but in the end it never worked out. One night we sat down and talked about our options. We could go further with fertility, but it wasn't about being able to conceive a child it was just about having a child in our lives. That is when we knew that adoption was the way to go. A child needs a safe, nurturing, loving home and we have that.

The one thing that we learned through our infertility is that life doesn't always work out the way you have planned it. We can tell you all the plans of the things that we want for your child, but it doesn't mean that it will turn out that way. Here is what we do know. We know that we are going to be in the front seat at every little league game, dance recital and every other major event in this child's life. We will be their number one fans in anything they do. We want them to find their passion and true happiness. If it means we try everything under the sun until something fits, we will be along for the ride. We will be there encouraging him/her and be the shoulders for them to lean on. We will be their sounding boards and advice givers. We will be their disciplinarians and examples. We want this child to have everything we have had and more. This doesn't mean that they will be given every toy they want or every new gadget that comes along. We know that it isn't the things that matter in life, but the life that matters. This is what we want to share with this child.

We both believe that adoption is very special especially because of the affects that it has had on our lives. We feel that sharing the adoption story with this child is very important. We want to tell of their birth and the roles that we all played in their life. We want to share every detail as a family. As a couple, we would like to assure you that we will provide pictures and letters and that you will always be portrayed in a positive light. It is important to us that you feel that you have made the right decision and you can reaffirm that feeling in the correspondence that you will receive from us.

We can't wait to share the wonderful life that we have together with your child. We look forward to sharing the things that matter to us. We love holidays and special occasions because we decorate our home for every one of them. We can only imagine coloring eggs at Easter and wrapping gifts at Christmas. Baking cookies for Santa and giving thanks as a family on Thanksgiving. We want to create new traditions that are shared by our new family.

We hope that our profile and our letter will help you to gain an insight into the type of people that we are and the type of parents that we will be. We look forward to learning more about you because you are obviously a special person. We hope that if choose us that we will be able to live up to every expectation that you have.
