We're Cathy and Chin. Thank you for considering us for the adoption of your baby. We really admire you for thinking about adoption and for caring so much about the future of your baby.
We met 15 years ago in a Salsa dance class and have been happily married for almost 12 years. After 6 miscarriages in 5 years, adoption blessed us with 2 miracles -- Jason and Thomas, whom we adopted through American Adoptions. We love them so much! We enjoy being parents! We would love to have another child! Now that Jason is 5 and Thomas is almost 2, we feel ready to be parents to a new baby. We pray that a special baby will come to us through adoption.
We will love your child the same as if they were our own. We know this for sure because we fell in love with Jason and Thomas from the moment we first saw them in the hospital. We will love this baby just as much as our other two. We'll cherish every moment with this child, who will be our last and youngest.
We can give your child a stay-at-home mom. Cathy and the children enjoy playgrounds, playgroups, reading, arts and crafts, baking and other fun activities. Chin is a great dad! After dinner, he and the boys can often be found on the floor or in the backyard -- playing and laughing. Chin enjoys his career in engineering. We feel grateful that we can live comfortably on one salary.
We're thankful to have families that supported our dreams of obtaining college and graduate school degrees. Chin, his brother, and Cathy's cousin attended Ivy League universities. We have the financial means to give 3 children everything that they need, including college educations. One of our greatest dreams is to see our children graduate from college. Our public schools are excellent. As your child grows up, we'll read to them, help with homework and offer activities that they enjoy. We'll support their dreams for their future and help them to achieve their goals in life. We'll also help them to develop good values and a spiritual foundation through the Methodist church.
In our family, your child would not be an only child. Jason (5) is a happy, talkative boy, who loves trucks. Thomas (almost 2) is a sweet, active little guy. Jason was delighted when Thomas became his baby brother! Together they have so much fun! We are raising our boys to be kind to one another. We give each of them individual attention so they feel special and not jealous of the other. Jason has said many times he hopes we will have another baby. Thomas is used to being around children and babies. He will be thrilled to be a big brother!
Please know that we are open to adopting a Caucasian baby of any heritage, an Asian baby of any heritage, or a mixture of both. We live in an ethnically diverse area of Maryland, which is welcoming to all families. We and our extended families will love this child with all our hearts.
Your child will always know that they were adopted. Together we'll often read adoption storybooks. We'll tell your child that God creates families in different ways. Your child will know that God brought them and their brothers to our family because they were supposed to be with us. We'll tell them that they have loving birth parents who gave them the tremendous gifts of life and adoption. They will know that you chose adoption so that they would have better lives and more opportunities. We'll always tell them that you loved them very much and that you wanted them to have the best possible life. We'll always present you in a positive way, with love and respect.
Our families say we are great parents, who really love and take good care of our kids. With us, your child will have a safe, happy home with understanding parents, great brothers and a supportive extended family. We try to have fun and enjoy each day with our children because we know that they grow up fast.
Thank you again for reading our letter. We wish you and your baby the very best. If you choose us, we'll be happy to send you many photos and letters, as your child grows up. We'll forever be grateful to you and never forget you.
