Our names our Matthew and Katheryn, and we want to thank you with grateful and humble hearts for taking the time to read our profile and consider us as the family to adore and cherish your child for the rest of their life. To be considering such a heroic decision takes extraordinary courage and love and we have the deepest respect and admiration for you. We can't begin to imagine what you are going through right now, but our hearts and prayers are with you as you make this difficult decision. We want to share our whole hearts with you, but will try to show you a bit of the "flavor" of our family in as few words as possible.

We met when we were 8 years old when our moms became friends. Matthew has always claimed that it was love at first sight for him, but Katheryn just thought he was a dirty boy who liked to show off! We have fun memories of playing "Capture the Flag" and "20 Questions" together as kids. We were friends until our families moved when we were 12 years old. We met back up again in college and when we started dating, we quickly realized that we were meant to be together for the rest of our lives. We are very spiritual and share a deep faith in God. We believe that a strong and love-filled marriage is one of the greatest gifts we can give a child and are committed to always working towards a deeper and stronger relationship with each other.

Katheryn: "Matthew has the warmest heart and purest spirit of any man I have ever known. He is head over heels in love with me and makes sure that I never forget it! He comes home on lunch breaks to spend time with me and calls/emails throughout the day just to check up and say, "I love you." He is so outgoing and charismatic…he strikes up conversations with complete strangers and is very involved with our church and community. He sees life as an adventure and is always ready to try new things as a family. He enjoys doing things outdoors, especially fishing, hiking, and camping, and can't wait to have children to share that with. He has such a great sense of humor…he keeps me laughing all day long!"

Matthew: "What I love most about Katheryn is her sweet and sensitive heart. She puts little love notes in my daily lunches, and is always putting together care packages for friends who are under the weather. She is the best cook and baker in the world! Her brothers were mad when she started to bake her cookies for me instead of them after we were married. She is absolutely amazing with kids. Her whole face lights up when she is playing with little ones and every kid that has met her just adores her. She is so imaginative and creative…she comes up with these amazing stories and songs and her siblings are always clamoring for more."

Katheryn has dreamed of being a stay-at-home mommy for as long as she can remember and is excited to spend her entire day with the child. Some of the things she is looking forward to most are playing with play-dough, baking cookies, going to the park, singing songs, telling stories, doing crafts, decorating their bedroom with them and painting a mural on their wall of whatever they want! Matthew is looking forward to "daddy time" when he gets home from work: piggyback and "airplane" rides, playing outside and reading books. We love traveling and are excited to have the child grow up with the experiences of travel and culture. Another passion we share is music - Matthew plays the piano and Katheryn sings for funerals and weddings. We love singing in the car on road trips and look forward to having family song nights. Family traditions, family dinners and evening walks, and Sunday as "family day" are all very important to us.

We truly believe that God has a specific, special child picked out for us and if this child is yours, please know that we pray for you and your baby daily. This is what we promise you: We will love your child with all our hearts. We will provide a safe home filled with love, laughter and kindness. We want to raise your child to be mature, loving, generous, self-confident and kindhearted. We want him/her to be someone with strong character and ideals, with a love for the truth. We will both be actively involved with all of the child's interests: cheering on the sidelines of soccer games, coaching their Boy/Girl Scout Troops, bringing flowers to recitals, etc. We will provide opportunities to pursue music, art, dancing and sports…whatever it is that he/she wants to try out. We will constantly encourage your child to be the individual that God created him/her to be and daily tell them how very much we love and are proud of who they are, so that they may grow up secure as the wonderfully unique person they are. We will help them to achieve their dreams and provide a superb education from pre-school through college.

We will be open and honest with your child from day one so that he/she never doubts how very much you love him/her. We will make sure your child knows that your decision to have us parent is a testament to just how deep, true and selfless your love for him/her is. Your child will be reminded daily that not only do we love him dearly, but that so does another set of parents, who are also thinking about him/her constantly. We want you to know that you will always be an important part of your child's story and we want to keep you posted as he/she grows by sending you pictures and letters, if you want. Your child will grow up knowing how very, very much you loved them and how much you gave up for them in your care for their future.
