Why we want to adopt:
We always knew we wanted to be parents. We cannot remember a time that we didn't talk about starting a family and sharing our lives and our love with children. When we were unable to conceive a child, we naturally chose to adopt. We have been personally touched by several of our family and friends who have adopted children and are so blessed to have these children in our lives.
About us:
We are both in our mid 30's and have been happily married for 3 ½ years. We both feel very fortunate to have been raised by families with much love, praise, patience, strong values and support in pursuing our dreams. Our parents have set a wonderful example for us to follow, as they both have been married for over 40 years. Bill is one of 4 children and Kathleen is one of 3 children and we still live within 20 minutes of both of our parents and several of our siblings. Shown in the photos are our 5 nephews and 1 niece whom we enjoy spending time with every week and who are all excited at the prospect of a new cousin to play with.
We both have many shared interests including spending time at Bill's parents' beach house, boating, hiking and traveling in the United States and Europe. We spent our honeymoon traveling through Alaska and have seen many wonderful places together all over the world and we can't wait to share more adventures with your baby. Some of Bill's favorite activities are home remodeling, fishing, hiking, reading, and spending time at the beach. Kathleen enjoys photography, drawing, cooking, and the beach. We have a 3 year old Irish terrier, Derry, who we enjoy
taking long walks with around our lake community. She loves kids and is very playful and she can't wait for a new addition to our family.
We have had many wonderful weekends at Bill's parents' beach house by the ocean with family and friends, enjoying long summer days, cookouts, fireworks, and family fun. We look forward to the day when your baby will experience their first time gathering sea shells, making sand castles and seeing their expression as they jump up as a small wave crashes at their feet.
Our goals as parents:
Our parents taught us the importance of having a spiritual life and the commitment to marriage. We believe that our love and our strong relationship with each other is the foundation needed to be good parents to your baby. Your child will be raised in much the same way we were raised, with lots of happiness, support, guidance, limitless opportunities, and unconditional love while surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We have learned the value of a good education and working hard. A good education is something we feel every child deserves and your baby will get one. We will provide every opportunity for your baby to grow and accomplish his or her goals and dreams with our support and love.
We feel blessed to have found such a wonderful love and friendship in each other and we are thankful to you in considering us to share our love with your baby. Rest assured your baby will have a wonderful life of encouragement, love and endless opportunities.
