Dear Birth Parent(s),

This must be such a confusing and difficult time for you. There are so many important things to consider in deciding how and with whom your child will be raised. We know that you must have many thoughts and emotions that will affect your decisions about your child. We respect you and admire you for considering such an unselfish act as adoption. We hope that you are receiving love and support from your family, friends and community for you are a truly brave and strong person to make this selfless and loving choice for your child. We whole-heartedly support your decision to choose adoption.

Our names are Jeff and Lori. We met while out for the Christmas holidays with friends. We instantly knew there was a special connection between us. We found that we had many common interests and dated for a year and a half before Jeff proposed on the beach at sunset in Charleston, SC.

Jeff was excited to become Lori's husband and also a step-dad to Lori's teen identical twin daughters, Lauren and Lindsay. Jeff's experiences as a teacher has given him lots of insight into parenting.

Just prior to our marriage we were told that we would not be able to conceive children of our own. We consulted with fertility experts and got the same news. We were in the process of filling out our adoption paperwork when, after 24 days of being married, we conceived our son, Braiden. He is almost two years old now and is a true miracle and blessing to our lives.

We would love to have one more little miracle. We would feel truly blessed to have another child to share all the love, caring, and warmth that our family has to offer.

We share very strong beliefs about raising children in a positive environment that lifts the child up to reach whatever goals or dreams he or she aspires to. We believe that children learn, grow, thrive, and blossom in an environment that is filled with intrigue, creativity, music, art, communication, and touch.

We believe that they learn best through exploration and investigation so we arrange our home so that a child can safely investigate his or her world.

We believe that all children deserve and need to be hugged, kissed, caressed, and patted on the back many times each day. "I love you" is a common daily phrase in our household.

We believe that children should begin learning at a young age to be polite, generous, kind, thoughtful and concerned for others.

We believe in the power of prayer and that we should all be thankful every day.

Our families have taught us all of these things which have made us the people we are. We feel so fortunate to have been raised by such wonderful parents with such strong values, principles and beliefs. Our family and friends are all very excited to hear of our adoptions plans.

We will ensure that your child will have opportunities to explore and participate in any activity, sport, talent, or skill that he or she would like to try. Please be confident that we will be cheerleaders for your child. If horseback riding, kayaking, surfing, or painting is his or her passion we will do all we can to develop that interest or any other. Your child will have the opportunity to take exciting trips to the beach, Disney, the mountains, and even Mexico or beyond. We will spend lots of time with family, especially on holidays and birthdays.

You can count on receiving lots of letters and pictures about all that he or she is doing from us throughout his or her or life. We will want you to know how happy and healthy your child is and that he or she is having a great life. If you choose us to raise your child please know that we will honor any wishes that you may have in regard to the information your child should have about you and your family. We would want to explain how you lovingly chose us to raise your child and that you care very much for your child.

We will be forever grateful to you if you should choose us to adopt your child. We promise to be wonderful, loving parents for your sweet little one. Your child is a precious gift that we would be so honored to receive.
