Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Ryan & Marci

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. First, know that we admire you for being so brave and selfless as you consider adoption for your child. We pray that you are receiving the love, guidance and support you may need during this difficult time.

We'd like to tell you a little about ourselves. Our names are Ryan and Marci. We've been together for five years and married for almost three. Our relationship is based on honesty, respect, and lots of communication. Most importantly, we have fun together. We love to make each other laugh. Several times a week Ryan comes home with a new silly joke to share. Marci likes to make Ryan laugh with her own special "hand dances" she creates to her favorite songs. We just love to be together, be it chilling-out at home or hiking in the mountains. We have a strong and fulfilling marriage and would be thrilled to welcome a child into our fold.

Like many, we considered adoption after learning we couldn't conceive a child on our own. However, the decision to adopt was an easy one as we realized God's plan on how we are to build our family. Our deepest desire is to parent and we are thrilled to be building our family through adoption. We have friends with adopted children and have spent significant time with them in an effort to understand their experiences. Furthermore, we have spent long hours researching in an effort to best understand how the adoption process works. We, along with our families, are very excited about growing our family and we feel prepared for the journey ahead.

We have great jobs that allow for flexibility. Marci is planning to take three months off when we adopt. After that, her job allows her to work from home when needed. Ryan's work schedule allows him to be off every Friday. We are also searching for the perfect child care environment that will provide loving care and positive peer interaction during those times when we both have to be at work. Furthermore, our mothers are already volunteering to babysit. We will make your child our number one priority.

We promise to raise your child in a positive, supportive and loving environment. We are strong advocates of education and will commit ourselves to finding the best opportunities for your child based on his or her talents. We look forward to Saturday afternoon baseball games, trips to the zoo and helping with homework. We also plan trips to Disney World, national parks, and family hiking adventures. We are prepared to provide all the emotional, financial and educational support your child will ever need. We want your child to build self-confidence and self-esteem so they can achieve anything their heart desires. Most of all, we will be your child's biggest fans.

When we think of our day to day time with a child, we recall our own childhood experiences. Marci has fond memories of her mother singing and playing Sesame Street songs on the piano. This was her way of motivating the kids to complete routine tasks like bath time, brushing teeth, and wake-up time. Ryan remembers his mom taking down the pots and pans while she was cooking so he could "play drums" around her feet. These simple acts of love are the ones we yearn to share with a child.

We will always be open and honest about how we became a family through your loving decision. We are already researching children's books that appropriately address this topic. We will tell your child that you made a very difficult decision out of love and a desire for him or her to have the best in life. We look forward to sharing pictures and letters with you so you can be constantly reassured of your decision. With your decision to place you child for adoption comes our commitment to parent your child and ensure his or her future. We look forward to this day with love and joy in our hearts.

With all our love and respect,

Ryan & Marci
