Our names are Michael and Kristin and we appreciate your time in learning more about us. We hope that you have the support system you need to help you in your adoption planning. You must be a very courageous and unselfish person to consider adoption for your baby. Please be assured that we are willing to honor your decision and will provide all the love and adoration possible for this child.
We have been married for three and a half years, with the first year of our marriage spent apart due to Michael being deployed in Iraq. Since he returned we have tried to conceive a child but have not been able to. Rather than spend lots of money on countless fertility treatments, we have decided to become parents through adoption. We believe that a child does not have to be biological in order for us to love them unconditionally. Children are without
a doubt a top priority in our lives. We own a child care center that Kristin directs. There are very few weekends that we do not have a child from the daycare at our house. Our lives revolve around children. As well as the daycare, Kristin provides respite care for a little girl with special needs.
We are very fortunate that with the child care center, Kristin will not be a stay at home mom, but will be able to take the child to work and they will be around many other children and develop wonderful social skills, as well as an excellent early childhood education. Further, the school district provides bus service to the daycare so your child will be able to get on and off the bus with his or her friends. There are many colleges nearby should your child decide to stay close to home or we will be supportive of them if they decide to pursue a college elsewhere.
We have countless plans for our life as a family, including wonderful vacations to experience the world around us. Michael has family in Colorado so the child will be exposed to the gorgeous mountains and sparkling lakes, and perhaps even learning how to snow ski should they desire to. We look forward to dressing up for Halloween,
hiding Easter eggs, and most of all, having this child help Michael hang up more Christmas tree lights than any house should ever have! At Christmas our house can be seen for miles because of all the lights.
Our house was purchased with the idea of a family in mind and we look forward to raising a few children in it. We have an empty room just waiting for the perfect crib and the perfect child to go in it. As a couple, we do almost everything together. We get the opportunity to call each other three or four times throughout the day and never end a conversation without an "I love you". A day never ends without a kiss goodnight. During the winter we love to play in the snow or curl up on the couch watching movies. In the spring and summer we absolutely love to go fishing together. Kristin's parents and her grandparents both have lakes with lots of fish, so we get to spend time with our extended family while doing something we love. We always end the summer with a trip to the state fair to enjoy cotton candy and snow cones. We look forward to sharing these activities with your child.
We believe children need to be loved unconditionally and be led by example. We are able to provide your child with anything he or she could ever want or need. We will support them and help them with any activity they choose to pursue. Your child will always be the number one priority in our lives.
Please be assured that your child will always know how much you love him or her and how fortunate we are that you came into our lives. We are more than willing to send letters and pictures if you desire, to reassure you that you made the best choice. Your child will always know how special they are to be adopted and how painful it was for you to make this decision.
If you choose us as the parents for your baby, we would be forever appreciative that you helped us to become the wonderful parents we know we can be. It would be the greatest gift anyone could ever give us.
