Dear Birth Parent(s),

We can only imagine how you must be feeling as you read this letter. Though very different, our hearts are filled with emotion as well. We really want a child to be part of our family and have been thinking about this moment for some time now. Thank you for thinking about adoption. We believe this is a very brave and selfless consideration. If you choose us, we will absolutely love your baby to the highest degree! We would provide your child with a nurturing home filled with love, warmth, and a little bit of the sillies, too. Thank you for taking the time to read all about us and getting to know us.

Our names are John and Monica and we have been happily married for seven years. We met at our university fourteen years ago and have been best friends ever since. Every Sunday, we attended the college chapel and walked home together. Little by little, we grew to know one another and fell in love. Now, we have a curly haired, little girl named Jillian who has been described as "a gentle soul." She cannot wait to have a brother or sister to share her toys or play hide and seek with in the backyard. We have a picture of our two nieces happily playing together on the beach. Every time we look at it, it makes us remember how important children are and how much they learn and love one another. We want that for our family, too. We pray that our children can build sand castles on the beach together and have each other as their best friends. We want to love and grow together on the beach, at the park, at the mall…everywhere. We cannot wait to have another child join our family. We wish to show a child all of the love and happiness there is out there in the world- from going on a trip to Disney to searching for worms in the garden.

We are waiting to be blessed with another child. We have been praying to God to bring us the perfect fit to our family for about three years. We can not wait to do wonderful things together and very much to grow as a family. Since Monica is an energetic, former teacher turned stay at home mother, she has lots of time, energy, and resources to share with a child. She tries to make the little things enjoyable and a learning experience. John has a gentle way with our many nieces and nephews. Together we enjoy visiting the zoo, going to the pool or park, or biking around the duck ponds. We have a very warm extended family who is excited about our decision to adopt. We thank you for the opportunity to be parents again and to share that with our family.

We understand that choosing adoption is a difficult decision. Please be assured that we will love, love, love your child so much. We will do our best to provide them with every opportunity in the world. We want for them to be a healthy, happy, and peaceful person as they grow. We recognize that this is a selfless decision and will respect you by being selfless in our own actions as well. We look forward to getting to know you, so that we can pass on all we know about you to a child. We promise to send you letters and photos if you desire, so that you can see how happy and healthy they will be with the family you selected for them. We think that you loved your baby so much, that you searched all of the fifty states to find the perfect fit just for them. For this we all thank you.

We hope that you pick us as the parents for your baby. This would be the biggest blessing in the world and we would always treat your child as such. We will love them beyond belief.
