Hello! We are John and Marianne. We thank you for reading about us and considering us to adopt your child. We know that you are making your decision out of love and a brave heart and that you want the best for your child. We want you to know that if you choose us to parent your child, we will provide a home where your baby will be nurtured and loved with our whole heart and with all the resources we have available to us.

Our dream of starting a family began when we got married six years ago. We've experienced issues with infertility and have tried medical intervention to no avail. Together we decided to adopt a child. God has been preparing us to be parents as we learn through the adoption process; as we read books and articles; as we spend time with our nieces, nephews and children at church; and as we make plans to encourage and to raise a child with the same enthusiasm our parents had when we were growing up.

In addition to growing together as a couple, we value parenting as an utmost priority. We will raise your child knowing the importance of loving and helping other people, respecting them, and communicating with others in positive ways. We will show your child how to make good choices by giving consistent parental guidance, love, and a strong faith which will give your child a firm foundation for life. In addition, sending your child to a well-respected private school in our area will ensure the best education possible. Marianne's experience as a teacher of young children will also help your child value learning about self, the child's family, and the world around the child. She will also become a full-time stay-at-home Mom.

The two of us have always sought to stay closely-connected with our families and friends. Our dates together often involve at least one other couple, and we love to go out to dinner, go to movies, or have barbecues. John, with a relative, built an arbor/gazebo in our backyard where we grill meat and vegetables, roast marshmallows, or just relax and talk with our relatives and friends. He plans on building play equipment for children in the backyard where we are already growing a beautiful lawn. In addition, we want to eventually set up a pool to enjoy all year around. It truly is summertime here all year!

Together we have exciting plans for the future! With your child we plan on sharing our values, hobbies, and interests; participating in church and community; enjoying life on the sunny, sandy seashore; and traveling the country to visit relatives, friends, or just to explore what the world has to offer. As your child develops interests and begins to dream about a bright future, we plan on encouraging and supporting your child so that your child will become a happy, loving, confident, and secure individual.

Both of us want you to know that you will be remembered in the life of your child. For your child to be a well-rounded individual, it is important that we share what we know about you and your family with your child. We look very much forward to meeting you and finding out more about your life.

We also will send you pictures and letters about your child as your child grows up. We want you to have peace and to know that your child is incredibly loved! Please know that we hope and pray for you to find strength and comfort as you go through this difficult process, and also to understand how truly special you are to us. Your baby will fulfill the desires of our heart to start a family, and for that there are no words that could adequately show our gratitude.
