Dear Birth Parent(s),

We want you to know that we believe things happen for a reason, and that Life has led us towards each other for the sake of this child. When we were struggling with years of infertility, we felt like our dreams of becoming parents might never come true. Then we started thinking and researching about adoption and now we are more excited and hopeful than ever! We feel like this is the path we were supposed to follow and you and your child could be the answer to all our prayers. We know that you are dealing with a difficult decision right now, but we hope that you can feel a sense of peace while considering adoption for your child. We feel that adoption is a loving and unselfish act. We want you to know that we will love your child with our whole selves and strive to live up to the hopes you have for your child's future.

Our names are Dan and Stacy. We are good people and we believe we will be good parents. We love each other very much and are best friends. We do almost everything together, because we genuinely enjoy spending time with each other. Whether it’s going to the grocery store, hanging out with friends and family, or just lounging around the house watching the Comedy Channel, we always have a good time. We are both inquisitive people and like to read and find out about new things. We are also both creative, though in different areas. Dan is really into computers and technology. Stacy is an artist and loves to paint, sculpt, embroidery, and make jewelry. We have a pretty laid back lifestyle and enjoy simple things like playing board games, doing jigsaw puzzles, and taking Sunday drives with our little dogs. We look forward to adding new hobbies and family activities that reflect the interests of your child as he/she grows.

We both want so badly to be parents. It is something we both knew long before we met each other. Family is also very important to both of us. This is one of the things that drew us together. We are very close to our families and spend a lot of time with them. We both have fond memories of our childhoods and look forward to building a wonderful future and creating lasting memories with your child. We have many family traditions as well as new traditions we can't wait to share with this child. So whether we are making the traditional chicken n' dumplins for Thanksgiving, decorating the house for every holiday on the calendar, or choosing the themes for our birthday parties, you can be sure that your child will be welcomed into our family and our hearts.

We feel that parenting is the most important job that one can have and we look forward to every part of it. We are fortunate that Stacy will be able to stay home with the child during the day. We are also very lucky that Dan works nearby our home and is able to come home for lunch everyday. Weekends will definitely be family time. We plan on going to the park, the zoo, and many other educational outings. We will also be spending lots of time (even more than usual) with our families. They cannot wait to have a new grandchild. In fact, it will be the first grandchild for Stacy's parents and only the second for Dan's. As you can imagine, this child will be loved and spoiled from both sides of the family!

We sincerely appreciate you considering us as parents for your child. We want you to know that we will always be up front and open about this adoption and the loving choice you made for him/her. We will never let your child forget you and will provide you with letters, pictures, and even emails if you want. We have already started a journal about the experience of adoption and will create a special "treasure chest" in which to put your letters, pictures, and information so that we can share the blessing of this journey with him/her in the future. This child will always know how loved they are by both of their families--yours and ours.
