Adoptive Family Ben and Nicki
We know that adoption is an incredible sacrifice of love, and without adoption, we would not already be parents. Thank you for taking a few moments to learn about our family.

We met in college when Nicki was a freshmen and Ben was a sophomore, and we began dating a couple of years later. After college, we were married, we began our careers, and we bought our first house where we still live.

We have been blessed to see the world and visit friends and family spread across 3 continents. We have been fortunate to have traveled the world together, but we each have our own favorite vacation spots. Ben loves Costa Rica where the beaches are amazing. There, we have combined time at the ocean with zipline canopy tours, hot springs and touring through the beautiful country. Nicki's favorite vacation, so far, has been touring around Europe. Castles, cathedrals and historical sites have been a part of her favorite vacations. Together, we love to vacation to a new place each year. As long as we are together, we always enjoy our trip. As a family, we strive to balance our vacations with activities that all will enjoy. We love visiting historical sites, beaches and enjoying new adventures together.

We also make a conscious effort to spend time with our families every chance we get. These visits are full of love and laughter as we enjoy one another's company. Our extended family is very diverse with several different nationalities represented, and we love it! Our son adds to that diversity as he is Hispanic. As he gets older, we plan to honor his cultural background by teaching him about his heritage.

We've both spent many years dreaming of becoming parents, and we were able to realize that dream through adoption. After years of off and on fertility treatments, we felt drawn toward adoption, and it has been the best decision of our lives. Being parents is a privilege and an honor, and it is also a tremendous responsibility. We take this responsibility and the trust placed in us by you very seriously. As adoptive parents, we are so thankful for our son's birth mother, and she will always be a special part of our family.

We know that the decision you are making is very difficult, and, although we do not know you personally, we have been praying for you and your decision. Our hope is that you will be very comfortable with your decision and the path you choose. If you do choose adoption and us as adoptive parents, we look forward to sharing our lives with you through letters, and pictures because we know these things can provide peace and comfort as this child grows up.

We would like to share a little bit about our future plans, too. Obviously, we do not know what the future holds, but we intend to work toward these things. We would like to continue to add to our family through adoption, if possible. We would like to have at least three children. We also plan to move closer to our extended families. Having our children spend as much time with their grandparents, cousins and aunts and uncles is important to us. Another goal for our family is for Nicki to be able to stay home with the children.

Thank you for spending a few moments with us as we share about our family. Blessings to you and your family as you make this decision.

Ben and Nicki
