Adoptive Family Heath and Heather

As you go through your journey in considering adoption, we are sure you are going through some of the same thoughts and feelings that we are ... uncertainty, fear, but most importantly love. We realize the deep love and strength it takes to consider such an unselfish decision to do what’s best for your child and we respect your decision. When we finally arrived to the hospital for the birth of our son Grayson, we were blown away by the selflessness, courage, and strength that our son’s birth parents had, and we were in complete awe and amazement with the gift they were entrusting us with. We really do appreciate you taking the time to get to know us and hope through our profile that you can see we are a committed, loving couple and are over the moon at the idea of adding to our family!

This adoption journey for us has been scary, overwhelming and thrilling all at the same time. Our path of having a family certainly was not what we envisioned when we got married. After 5 years of infertility treatments, we came to the conclusion that IVF was just not meant to be for us. However, as one door closes another one opens. After adopting Grayson it confirmed for us that this is the path that God had in store for us.

Our names are Heath and Heather; we have been married for 7 years and dated two years prior to getting married. We are a hardworking, dedicated, fun loving couple that treasures the importance of family. We can’t wait to experience the little things when it comes to parenthood like their first tooth, first steps, and of course the holidays. Holidays were fine before but after we became parents it’s just so much better! Experiencing and being involved with things like Christmas morning, trick or treating, and coloring Easter eggs, it’s the children that make the holidays all worthwhile. We have cherished these firsts with Grayson and they have been wonderful, warm memories. Of course, we are looking forward to sharing these same experiences for your child with you through pictures and letters.

We love our neighborhood and enjoy having company over. Our house is within walking distance of our subdivision’s park and swimming pool, there are children of all ages on our cul-de-sac that are always out playing when it’s nice out. This winter we got a lot of snow and there were many snowmen up and down our street built by the neighborhood kids. There are always people pushing strollers, walking their dogs or riding bikes in front of our house. It’s a safe, friendly area with wonderful people and an abundance of opportunities for family fun.

We spend a lot of time with our families whether its birthday parties, baptisms, babysitting, sporting event, or just dinner out. Along with Grayson, we also have a total of 10 nieces and nephews all under the age of 8, they all keep us pretty busy but we like it that way. Thankfully all of our family is within driving distance. Our parents are the kind of parents we strive to be and know that they will always have our backs. To this day they provide us support and guidance and never gave up on us. As always, they will support us as we hope to make our dreams come true again through adoption and Grayson would love to become a big brother.

We truly appreciate your consideration and hope this gives you a little glimpse into our lives and the type of parents we are. To be given a gift as precious as a child would certainly enhance our lives and family even more. It would be an indescribable gift that we would not have otherwise had. We look forward to the day we get to know you and talk about the hopes you have for your baby.

Warmest wishes,

Heath and Heather
