Hi! We’re Matt and Emily and we’d like to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are extremely grateful you are considering us as potential parents for your child. We understand this is a decision not to be taken lightly and one that is filled with many emotions. Although we don’t truly know what you’re going through, we want you to know that we are sending love and prayers your way.
We met, dated, got engaged, and planned a wedding in a span of 16 months. October 2016 is our 10th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed three great years of celebrating us and our relationship before deciding to start a family. In 2010, we gave birth to our son, Tucker, who is now six years old. Since having our son, we have tried many times to expand our family. Unfortunately, that was not God’s plan for us. We truly feel God’s plan is for us to adopt a precious child to share our love with. Tucker is so excited to be a big brother. He’s been asking for the last three years for us to get him a baby sister or baby brother. If it were up to him he’d have twenty siblings. Not only will you be fulfilling our dream, but you will be making a special 6-year-old extremely happy!
Our family and friends are very important to us. They are our support system through this journey and are there with us every step of the way. Having our own family has always been a dream of ours. Although we have one son, we feel like our family is not yet complete. We pray that our dreams will be fulfilled though your generosity of making us parents again. We are committed to a semi-open adoption and keeping you updated through pictures and emails.
We look forward to doing so many things with our children. Reading books before bedtime, family dinner on the patio, sledding when it snows, playing outside when it’s nice, taking walks through the neighborhood, eating ice cream for dessert, traveling all over, and spending time with family and friends are some of the many things we’re excited to do. We look forward to many adventures and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We raise our children with a solid work ethic, a Christian faith, the ability to be strong and independent, while being kind and compassionate. Our children will know that they are loved no matter what and are able to talk to us about anything. Our promise to you is that we will love your child unconditionally. We promise to always be honest about their adoption story. We promise to provide a safe and caring home surrounded by family and friends who will cherish them.
We understand that the gift of adoption is the ultimate act of love and selflessness and we thank you for this. With Love,
Matt and Emily
