At this time, you may be struggling with this difficult decision…how can you provide what is best for your child? By choosing to birth your child you have already made the most important decision.
Please allow us to introduce ourselves, we are Mitchell and Peggy. We are devoted to the Lord and to each other. We have been married for 23 years. After being married five years we decided it was time to start a family. Many years had past before we were sure what complications were preventing this. Neither of us wanted to invest a lot of time and money into infertility testing and treatments. Knowing that there are children already in the world needing to be loved, nurtured, and cared for, we decided
adoption would be the right choice for us.
Mitchell is a dependable, loving husband who spends much of his leisure time on personal growth and self-improvement. He often reads books on leadership, having a positive attitude, and how to lift others up. He, along with Peggy, chooses to attend seminars three times a year that are designed to encourage him to reach his goals and dreams. Traveling to these seminars also affords the opportunity to meet new people and visit new places. He enjoys visiting museums and historic landmarks. Other interest includes tennis, playing Frisbee or ball with his dog, listening to music and just spending time with Peggy.
Peggy is outgoing, expressive, always seeking some way to have fun; considerate of others and
organized when she needs to be. Her hobbies include decorating our home, crocheting, sewing, reading, shopping, going to amusement parks and zoos, and listening to these types of music: bluegrass, country, 1950's doo-wop, classical and gospel.
We want to share with you the story of "The Mulberry Bird". We intend to use this book to help our child understand the concept of adoption. It describes how a mother bird lovingly chose another family for her baby bird. A child placed with us will be told that his/her parents loved him/her very much and wanted the very best for their child. He/she will know with certainty, of how his/her birthparents very carefully chose the couple that would lovingly raise them and how they were acting in the child's best interest as they unselfishly placed them for adoption. Our child will be told of his/her adoption early in life. We are going to be open about their adoption assuring them all the while that we will be here for him/her through times of joy and sadness.
If you choose us, we would enjoy continuing communication with you through the help of the adoption agency. We imagine it may be important for you to know that your child is loved, growing and happy. We would be happy to send photographs and letters relaying the achievements of the child as
he/she matures.
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We would be honored if you would allow us to be the loving family for your child. May God be with you in all of your endeavors.
