Adoptive Family Ben and Maggie

We are honored and humbled that you have taken the time to look at our profile. We know the journey that has brought you to this point might have been very different than ours, but something special is happening. Something wonderful has guided you to our profile this very minute, and for that we are eternally grateful. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for taking a few minutes to get to know us, and we hope that you select us as the adoptive parents.

We’d like to tell you a little about us. We grew up as different from each other as you could imagine. Maggie was born and raised in Puerto Rico to Cuban parents, and lived on that beautiful Caribbean island until she came to the states for college. Ben, on the other hand, was born and raised in Texas, and raised cows while a teenager. Our paths crossed in law school, and we have been inseparable ever since. We have been married for six years, and live in a park-like neighborhood in the suburbs in Texas with our two hilarious dogs, Napoleon and Franko.

We have wanted a baby for some time now, and have always known that adoption was the right path for us. Ben’s mom is adopted, and so are his aunt and uncle. We see firsthand, everyday how beautiful adoption is and how much love is born from it.

We want to raise a child by blending the best qualities of each other and instilling those qualities in that child. Maggie brings her Hispanic background with its deep cultural and spiritual roots, coupled with her motherly drive to ensure that those close to her are protected and succeed. Ben brings his simple values of being honorable, truthful, and kind to everyone regardless of their situation, while never forgetting that laughter is the best medicine.

We have worked hard to make sure that we are ready to provide the best that we can for this child. We love to travel, and are firm believers in the idea that experiencing different cultures and places around the world strengthens one’s compassion, humility, and acceptance. We want these traits to grow in this child through travel so that he or she does not take life for granted, learns to appreciate the little things, and compassionately recognizes that we are all the same.

We would also like this child to grow up knowing that he or she is loved by not one, but two families. We will be open and honest with the child so that we create a strong bond of trust and security. We understand that this openness extends to you too, and are willing to send you pictures and updates if you want us to. That decision will always be yours to make.

Thank you again for taking the time to consider us. We know you have not reached this point easily. Your courage and selflessness are to be celebrated. If we are selected as the adoptive parents, please rest assured, we are ready and willing to do whatever it takes for this child to grow into a beautiful, loving, happy, and successful person.

Warm regards,

Ben and Maggie
