What great joy that you are giving us by taking the time to read our profile as this must be a very difficult decision for you. We have had so many wonderful experiences in our lives and our new experiences would be enriched further if we had those to share with your child. Being parents is a dream that we would love to fulfill together with you!
We plan to be open and honest with your child about their adoption in a variety of ways. We will let your child know early that he or she is adopted and how much they are loved. Most importantly, we will tell your child that our family was made possible through the difficult decision that you made for them. In addition, we plan to have an adoption book and share why we chose adoption.
We promise that we will love your child unconditionally and provide a loving, nurturing and fulfilling life. We will provide every educational opportunity possible as well as enroll your child in activities that interest them. Maybe playing the piano, playing baseball, dancing, golf, etc.
Throughout the years we look forward to sharing those special moments with you through letters and photographs so that you have the comfort and peace of mind that your child is being given every opportunity that you could have wanted for them.
Our very favorite holiday is Christmas. Since Susan was a child, her father always decorated the outside of the house with a variety of lights and made everything just perfect. Now, we have continued the tradition and have taken it to a whole new level. Our outdoor display includes five songs synced to music with over 20,000 lights, and continues to grow every year! Many of the decorations were hand built, particularly our 10 little dancing trees we created from turning tomato plant cages upside down. One very special feature is Santa Claus' sled with a runway lit for his deer to take off into the sky to deliver presents. This is our way of sharing how much we love the holiday with our family and our friends. Every night, cars stop by and tune their radios to the music and watch the show – often there are a dozen or more cars enjoying the lights! We would love to share our joy for the holiday with your child!
We have always believed in having pets in our home. Since Susan was little, she had dogs, cats, hamsters and fish. Susan's Mom always encouraged having pets and would willingly bring a pet into the home to make her children happy.
We are very nurturing family. Our pets are treated as a member of our family. If they become ill, they are taken to the vet immediately ensuring they are cared for in the best way possible.
Bentley and Melody are our tuxedo (black and white) cats. Both are very playful. Bentley retrieved balls when he was a baby and Melody loves to play hide and seek with us. David built our cats a seven-foot tall cat condo. They love to sit on the condo and watch “cat-TV” (looking at the birds, rabbits, and squirrels out the window). Both Melody and Bentley love Christmas as well. So much so, that Bentley and Melody sit under the Christmas trees and gaze at the twinkling lights.
