Cultural Heritage
Happy Family

We are a pretty mixed family culturally. Aurora was born and grew up in a small town in Italy. Justin was born to English parents in South America and spent most of his childhood there. Now we live in the United States and our children are very definitely growing into little Americans.

Our family makes a lot of effort to stay in touch with its roots, by visiting relatives in Europe, talking to our children in the languages we grew up speaking, and researching and experiencing the culture and history of all the places which have an influence on our family; Europe, the United States and Latin America. We try to be open not only about the different perspectives that our backgrounds bring, but also the many common aspects we encounter.

We would continue this approach with your child, much like we are doing with our adopted son, Leone. The ethnic heritage of your child will become part of our family's culture. We would welcome any information about your cultural traditions so that we can incorporate these into family life and pass them on to your child.

What it Means to be Parents

We have three children. Our son, Socrate, is four, curious and full of energy. Our daughter, Luna, is a very social three-year-old. Our sone, Leone, is a happy and extroverted one-year-old boy. They are so excited about the idea of a little brother or sister. We are trying to raise our children in a loving environment. We want them to have fun, learn about the world around them, and be good people. We seek to teach them through our own actions to love and respect themselves and others. We pray that they will be able to realize their potential and be confident, but also respectful of others and aware that for every right there is a duty.

Why We Chose Adoption
We Can't Wait to Adopt Again!

We have always wanted a large and diverse family, and expanding our family through adoption is one of the earliest things we discussed in our marriage. Last year we adopted Leone, who has brought so much joy and laughter to our house. It has been amazing to see the bonds develop between the three kids – they have become a cheeky gang of three often conspiring against us! We have been blessed with strong relationships within our immediate and wider families, with good health and with financial stability. We are grateful for the opportunity to welcome a new child into our family.
