We are so thrilled and honored that you're taking the time to get to know us. We love the innocence, laughter and silliness children bring to a home. To choose us to be your child's parents would be such an incredible blessing. We invite you to learn about us through this profile. We are very excited to move forward in the adoption journey.
Kyler, Aurelia, Rory
We spend as much time together as we can. On the weekends we try to plan at least one family activity that everyone will enjoy. Some of our favorites include swimming, going to the Children's Museum, playing outside, baking cookies or making pizza, going to a restaurant, going out for ice cream or going to a playground, or having movie night. We love snuggling with our kids in bed on Saturday mornings, listening to them tell us everything on their minds, and just enjoying the peacefulness of a slow weekend morning.
We are active in our community, and our older children play sports such as soccer and t-ball. We always attend the games and socialize with other families. We really enjoy getting together with friends for neighborhood parties and hosting parties as well.
We would feel incredibly honored, and are so excited to share all of these activities and family focused time with your child.
Marc About Sarah: When I met Sarah, she was a teacher, and I remember thinking how much loved her students and her job. These traits have helped Sarah become a great mom to our kids. She’s so loving toward our children. She cares about every aspect of their lives, and has the talent to see things through a child’s eyes. This helps her to understand their feelings in particular situations. She teaches our kids to be respectful and kind through patience, creativity, and gentle firmness. Additionally, Sarah is hard working and tenacious. When she sets her mind to something, she finds a way to accomplish it, but she still puts our kids first. For example, when she started her doctorate, she worked late into the night so the kids schedules weren’t affected during the day.
Sarah About Marc: The things I love about Marc now are the same things that made me fall in love with him ten years ago. Marc is a completely family centered person. This was one of the first things I found out about him when we first started dating, and it has stayed true for the last ten years. He does his best to stay connected to us when he’s had to travel, and is incredibly in touch with our kids and their lives. Additionally, Marc is always extremely calm and organized, especially in difficult situations. He doesn’t seem to ever get flustered, and stays calm and collected when things become stressful.
We teach our children to be respectful, non judgmental and open minded, and encourage education of different cultures and traditions.
We will make sure that our child has role models and mentors who are from their background in order to give them an opportunity to understand the nuances of their culture. We live in a community with much cultural diversity, and we will be sure to be role models for our children, and be open minded, like we expect our children to be.
In our home, we will also have books and toys that reflect our child's background and culture so they will have mirrors at home.
Finally, we will teach our children to all support each other, to be educated about how to handle unfriendly situations and what to do to encourage peaceful interactions.
