Education We Will Provide
We Love Exploring the Beach Together as a Family!

We both value education for ourselves and for our children. We are life-long learners and have pursued traditional education in colleges, trade schools and on-going adult education courses. But, we also value general education in learning as you live normal, everyday life. Graham has learned his colors and letters simply by asking him what he sees as we go to the park or ride in the car. There is no pressure to know things or perform academically. We will provide the education style that our children will need and desire. We will pursue traditional education in great schools but we will be active learners as we read, explore and learn from others. Relationships are also another tool of education. We have people from all walks of life around us and our children will be raised knowing and loving people from all over the world. They will eat food from India, hear personal stories about Vietnam, have family from other cultures and serve others who may be in need. We would hope to provide an education that would build values like character, integrity, expertise, common sense, kindness, perseverance, generosity and love. We will pursue building the whole person and not just their intellect.

Our Family Traditions
Family 5k Run

We are big on traditions in our family. We celebrate Christmas surrounded by our extended family. We cook together, eat and then open gifts by the tree. We watch the same Christmas movies each year and often build snowmen or play on the farm, depending on the weather. We also send cards and donations to families with children in the hospital each year in honor of our son Hudson’s fight with congenital heart disease. Birthdays are celebrated for a whole week with decorations around the house, fun craft projects and outings, family and of course, cake and ice cream. We have a silly tradition that you must get a picture taken under the table on your birthday. We do that each year. Our church offers many programs for children throughout the year and we participate in service projects around Thanksgiving, run 5ks in the spring and the children participate in the Christmas programs.
