We are so excited to grow our family through adoption! We are a compassionate and fun loving couple with so much love to share. Adopting our son has been the biggest blessing in our lives and we look forward to completing our family with another child. Thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents.
Our son Anthony is adopted. Fortunately we were able to be at the hospital for his birth and the nurse put him in our arms an hour after he was born. We fell in love instantly! He is truly the greatest blessing in our lives.
Before going through this process, we could only imagine what adopting a child would be like. We can say with certainty now that adoption is one of the greatest gifts in life. We have so much respect for Anthony's birth parents and they both hold a very special place in our hearts. We look forward to sending pictures and updates on how well he is doing. Every day that we see his happy smiling face we are reminded of the great sacrifice they made to give him a better life and we do not take that lightly. It's a great responsibility to live up to being the parents he deserves.
Anthony has completely changed our lives for the better. He is so loved by not only us but our extended family as well. He has grandparents that are always visiting and offering to babysit and cousins that argue over who gets to hold him and play with him. We know that we are so very lucky to have become his parents. We are excited to be adopting again and know that Anthony will be a great big brother!
Joe's parents are both Italian. When Joe was 14 he and his father went to Italy for vacation where Joe got to meet his extended family and see where his father grew up. His grandparents and all of the aunts, uncles, and cousins would gather daily for large Italian meals. Joe spent time on the family farm learning how to milk cows, harvest fruit trees, and how cheese was made. It is one of the greatest memories of his childhood.
Caroline's family is Greek, her mother was born in Greece and came to the US when she was just 5 years old. Growing up, her grandparents spoke mostly Greek and Caroline herself was fluent in Greek, not learning English until she was 4 years old. The movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" has many similarities to Caroline's extended family including roasting a lamb on Easter and the large family gatherings.
Our dream family vacation is a trip to both Greece and Italy, possibly a cruise through the Mediterranean with stops in each country. Our daily life is a constant reminder of our heritage. From the ethnic meals to the time spent at the Greek church, we realize the importance of our family heritage and hope to share that with our children.
We value the importance of a good education and giving our child the best possible education is a priority to us. We are fortunate to live in a top rated school district. The elementary school is within walking distance to our home and the bus stop is in front of our house. Although these are wonderful schools, we would not be opposed to a private education if it was the best opportunity for our child.
Besides the education provided in school, we believe parents play a vital role in their child's upbringing. With a background in education, Caroline has experience in teaching children and plans to spend time with our children, helping them learn and teaching them new things, especially in the pre-school years.
It is important to us to provide a college education for our children as well. Although college is important, we realize it is not the path everyone takes in life. We both have an entrepreneurial spirit and we intend to support our children in any career decision they choose.
